Meadow Bunkie on 88 acres
Description
Nestled in a cedar-framed meadow between oat and barley fields, our off-grid bunkie offers glamping at its best. Trails start at your door, leading through mixed forest and over streams. By day, enjoy sunshine and meadow views; by night, stargaze and hear coyotes sing under the moon. Built for our family, now ready for yours. From a 5-star Airbnb host on 88 acres of field and forest, this hideaway is several fields from from the main house, but near enough if you need us. The space About this space: This is a new extra-comfy off-grid bunkie space that is private on 88 acres of mixed farm, fields and forest. This is "glamping". You are in a small meadow, between fields and forest at the head of a trail that offers beautiful trails. You are in nature here, which means being aware that their are Ontario wild animals (the cayotes will howl and sing if you're lucky). Guest access You will have privacy in this bunkie and space and are welcome to use the entire trails of the property. Other things to note We said off grid: there is no electricity and no running water (though we're working on rain capture) and the bathroom is a traditional composting toilet. Depending on the time of year and height of the fields, parking is at the top of the driveway of the main house, and the bunkie is a short walk into your private spot. A table top bbq is provided, along with basic bbq tools. There is firewood for use in the fire pit (a surround with a solo stove), contingent on local fire bans and safe use. A sectional sofa converts into a bed for you, with a mattress topper. Compostable dishes/cutlery are provided.
