The Little Forge Farm

Welcome to this charming house in the heart of the Brocéliande forest. Located on the historic site of the Forges de Paimpont, just 2 km from the village, our gîte opens its doors to you in a listed stone house, a true witness of the past. Former home of the forge workers, it has been completely renovated with care to combine modern comfort and authenticity. Its stone facade, roof and elegant skylights give it a charm that will seduce lovers of beautiful homes. The space Entirely on one level, a house listed as a historic building on the site of the forges, the gite can accommodate up to 6 people. There is a large, bright living room with dining area and seating area with a nice wood burning stove. The fully equipped kitchen has an oven, microwave, induction cooktop, dishwasher (a capsule is provided on arrival), Tassimo coffee maker, filter coffee maker and espresso machine (coffee is not provided) and all the necessary dishes for your meals. The bathroom is furnished with a large Italian shower and double vanity, while the toilets are self-contained for extra comfort. The cottage has two double bedrooms: one equipped with a 160x200 bed, the other with a 140x200 bed with two single beds on the mezzanine. All the mattresses are new, of high quality and made in France, to ensure restful and comfortable nights. Outside, a large, fully enclosed garden awaits you, by a river and surrounded by the forest of Brocéliande. An ideal setting to recharge your batteries, share moments with family or friends, and enjoy the surrounding nature. Ample free parking is located just in front of the house for added convenience. Pets are welcome, for a fee. The cottage is also equipped with TV and free Wi-Fi. For your information, guests with an electric vehicle must notify us, as they will be charged an additional flat rate of between 2 and 5 euros per day for 100 km if they recharge their vehicle in the accommodation. (Electricity consumption monitored daily). Otherwise, charging stations are available in Paimpont or Plelan-le-Grand. Raclette service. Guest access Access to the gîte is very easy by car: located just 10 minutes from the N24, it is 40 km from Rennes. Large parking for free is available just in front of the house to facilitate your arrival and travel during the stay. Other things to note The gîte is ideally located to explore the region and fully enjoy the Brocéliande Forest, famous for its legends and natural beauty. A few steps away, go hiking on marked trails to discover the Golden Tree, the Val sans Retour, the Tomb of Merlin or the Hôtié de Viviane. Nature and culture enthusiasts will be seduced by these enchanting landscapes and the stories that surround them. Just a few minutes away, the historic site of the Forges de Paimpont will immerse you in the industrial history of the region. You can discover the old forges, restored buildings and exhibitions on local heritage. For your meals, just 200 meters from the cottage, our family restaurant, passed down from generation to generation for many years, welcomes you to enjoy local specialties in a warm and authentic atmosphere. Outdoor enthusiasts will also find many activities nearby: storytelling walks, horseback riding, mountain biking, local farmers' markets, and cultural tours of the surrounding villages.
