Avalon Initiative
Description
Avalon is located just a stone’s throw from Indigenous territories and unique Caribbean beaches. It is an ideal base for special getaways and relaxing days by the sea. On request, we can put you in touch with Bribri and Cabécar communities who can share insights into their culture and way of life. Avalon is located in a local village, not in a tourist complex, so here you will experience the real everyday life of the Caribbean, which can sometimes be lively. The space Your temporary home is an airy house made of local materials. Living room, dining area, and kitchen open to each other - so you're right in the middle of nature. In the fully equipped kitchen you can cook and enjoy to your heart's content. In the cozy bedroom, a comfortable queen size bed awaits you, with a private bathroom and enough space for your belongings. Do you come with friends? No problem! We are happy to provide tents, mattresses and mosquito nets for a special nature experience. Living sustainability With us you drink filtered rainwater, we separate trash and compost. Just pack your clothes - we'll take care of everything else (linens, towels, kitchenware)! Avalon is located in a lively Caribbean village, not in a secluded tourist complex. Here, you will experience the real day-to-day life of the region – with neighbors, animals, music, and community life. Therefore, ambient noise is part of everyday life.
