Juniper House - a nature retreat

Juniper is named after the bunny that comes visit the house every spring until the fall. A two bedroom with two en suite bathrooms, in an oasis of nature. A paradise for birdwatchers and deer lovers. The 70s house was renovated by an architect and a photographer who are avid foragers and antique hunters, and you’ll see it around the space. The perfect place to feel completely isolated from the world, surrounded by wildlife, but close to everything in the Sullivan Catskills. - Minimum age: 8 - The space The primary bedroom is large with an en suite bathroom with clawfoot tub. The second bedroom (also double bed) is smaller but charming, also with an en suite bathroom with large shower. The bathroom in the second bedroom has two doors, for access from the living room if needed. We recommend if in use by two couples, to lock the living room access to maintain the en suite mode at all times. The kitchen has many cooking utensils and baking items. The dining table is large with room for comfortable meals for 6. Living room with two couches, super cozy for lounging and resting. TV. There is an office nook (that doubles a sleeping nook if needed for a 5th guest on request). Second screen and curtains if needed for privacy and video calls. There is a deck with outdoor furniture from spring to fall, a barbecue and a nice fire pit with seating. There is a pellet stove which is the main source of heat and it’s required to be used during the winter. There are supplemental electric heaters in every room (which should be used only in addition to the stove). Guest access If booked by two people, use of the second bedroom is excluded. If booked by 3+ people guests can use the entire house. Access to the basement is excluded at all times. Other things to note This is a house for relaxing, cooking, reading and ejoying nature. We are happy if you want to celebrate something! But there are antiques and delicate objects so it's not suitable for partying. No confetti, open flames, sprinkles are allowed.
