Starbright House speaks the language of peaceful simplicity. Nestled in forest in a quiet neighborhood, it puts its effort into making you feel cared for & comfortable, not putting on a show to impress you. Ahhh! Three bedrooms & a 4th sleeping area give space for up to 11 to sleep when all double & queen beds are shared, but the house is best for 5-8 ppl. Two bathrooms. The main living area is compact, but expandable by a large covered deck, where you can admire mountain goats across the way. The space This 3+BR/2BA home is located conveniently in Cooper Landing, Alaska, central on the Kenai Peninsula to all the places where you'll be adventuring. Built in 2002, used lightly and gently as a summer weekend home since then, and with recent updates, it is clean and fresh, uncluttered and relaxing. Find a comforting and comfortable place to rest and connect right here! The house sleeps up to 11, but because of its compact main living areas, it is optimal for groups of 5-8 if you plan to spend significant time indoors. When you first arrive, you'll be drawn to the large upper covered deck, with its impressive mountain view. You'll love to dine al fresco on the deck, BBQ grill at hand, watching sheep grazing distantly on the mountains or enjoying birds in the birdhouse. The deck can be closed off from the stairs with a latching gate, making it toddler-friendly. The upper level of the house is where you will find the main living room, complete with TV (Internet connectivity only - no satellite or cable to interrupt your vacation), a wood stove, and new leather furniture for lounging. Behind the living space, next to the doors leading to the deck, you'll find an excellent eating area, easily seating 6, with great window views to greet you as you sip your morning coffee. The kitchen, compact but outfitted well with everything you need to cook at home, is crisp and clean. Expand your dining and cooking options onto the large, covered deck, where you will find a gas-fired barbeque grill and an outdoor dining set for four. Two bedrooms and a full bathroom are featured on this upper floor. Each bedroom has a queen bed with brand new memory foam mattresses, fresh bedding, and simple touches to inspire relaxation. The bathroom feels fresh and benefits from natural light through a small shower window. The lower level of the house provides a third bedroom, a spare room, and a second bathroom for additional guests. The bedroom has two brand new full beds, each with memory foam mattresses. The full bathroom is clean, feeling new with nice fixtures and touches. The extra room in the basement houses a bunk bed with a full bed on the bottom and a twin on the top, a couch for lounging and even a game table. Downstairs you will also find the full-size washer and dryer. The laundry room has space for you to spread out and organize your outdoor adventuring gear. The lower deck has a swing, perfect for that evening drink, swaying to the sound of the breeze in the forest. The property is bordered by mature spruce forest, in a quiet residential area with the small-town vibe. Enjoy the sound and sights of the extra visitors and residents in the treetop bird houses on property. When wildfire danger is low, enjoy the firebowl out on the lawn. A short walk, about 1/4 mile, down the quiet road brings you to a public access to beautiful, turquoise Kenai Lake (Note: there is not extended public waterfront, just a public access point to put in a small boat or to view the water; no space for beach-combing.) You'll be reminded of why you chose Cooper Landing for your Alaskan vacation: pure beauty! Rental rate as posted includes the 3% local sales tax we collect according to law. Guest access The whole house is yours to use, but the outdoor shed is not for guest access. Other things to note Check-in: 4:00 PM / Check-out: 10:00 AM Max. occupancy: 11 Max. adults: 8 Min. age of primary renter: 25 Children welcome, must be disclosed Parties/events not allowed - no unregistered guests on property Pets not allowed Non smoking only No fish processing on the property. No cooking fish inside the house. The grill on the back deck is provided for cooking fish. All guests must sleep in the provided beds - 11 maximum occupancy requires that 2 queens & 3 double beds be shared. No couch or floor sleepers allowed. Trash must be handled according to instructions. No food left outside. Any neglectful or purposeful attracting of animals is grounds for eviction.
