The space The Bear’s Den is a warm, inviting cabin that offers an authentic Alaskan experience—perfect for solo travelers or couples looking for a peaceful retreat close to everything Homer has to offer. Located just off Kachemak Drive, this cozy cabin sits on a bluff near the water’s edge, conveniently close to both downtown Homer and the Homer Spit, with its restaurants, shops, galleries, and fishing charters. While the cabin itself has limited ocean views, guests are welcome to walk to the edge of the bluff for a beautiful panoramic look at Kachemak Bay and the surrounding mountains—a perfect spot to take in the Alaskan scenery. Inside, the Bear’s Den features: 🛏️ Queen-sized bed 🚿 Private full bathroom 🍽️ Limited kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge, cups, and plastic utensils (Please note: There is no sink or stovetop—best suited for takeout meals or light snacks.) Think of it as a hotel-style room with cabin charm—comfortable and compact, perfect for resting between adventures. There is no direct beach access from the property, but a great public beach is just 1.7 miles away. The Bear’s Den is located on the same lot as a larger cabin that accommodates up to 6 guests. You’ll have your own private entrance and space, though the outdoor area is shared.
