Every morning, a blue heron sits atop a piling and greets you while the kingfisher is close by, watching the tide for his morning catch. The fog rolls through the pass majestically, and the sea otters and seals will visit you daily. It feels like an old fishing village that some have nicknamed "ship wreck harbor". (guest review) SHARED HOT TUB TO ENJOY AFTER A DAY OF EXPLORING! We have two identical cabins that sit side-by-side. Grab some friends and rent together our rent individually for relaxing escape. These are adorable, one-bedroom, vintage beach cabins built in 1960. They were originally part of the Obstruction Pass beach resort. Each cabin has one bedroom with a queen-size bed, a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, a full kitchen, and a living room with a 58-inch smart TV & full-size sofa sleeper. (good for a child, but may or may not be comfortable for an adult..see photo). The kitchen has toaster, microwave, blender, popcorn popper, Keurig coffee maker and French press. The cabins are located on the far east side of Orcas Island at Obstruction Pass Beach. (Next door to Lieberhaven) They are close to both state parks. (Moran State Park & Obstruction Pass State Park) If you enjoy, hiking, biking, kayaking & all things outdoors, then this is a great location for you. Only a couple miles from the popular Buck Bay shellfish farm, where you can enjoy delicious local seafood! The cabins are located just a couple of hundred yards up the beach from the public boat dock. If you want to avoid the Washington State ferries, and you don’t mind NOT having a vehicle, you can grab your groceries on the mainland and hop on a water taxi in either Anacortes or Bellingham. They’ll deliver you right to the cabins! **If you have your own private boat that you would like to travel to the cabin on, message Autumn and ask about a buoy to tie up to * 40 minute drive from the Orcas ferry Landing to the cabins * 20 minute drive to Eastsound village , where the main grocery store and gift shops are located * 5 minute drive to the OLGA store… the tiniest, cutest little store ever, but it does have the essentials plus coffee/espresso and soft serve ice cream. I highly recommend a visit! * Hot tub is shared with both cabins * full disclosure 1. If you are over 6’ 5” , you may not be comfortable in these cabins. They do have low ceilings (approx 7ft) 2. Our property sits next door to an old boat yard/marina. Unfortunately, the owner is 90 yrs old now, and there’s a large derelict boat that still sits on the boat ramp across the beach towards the left, and a small sailboat on the beach. Hence (ship wreck harbor) Guest access Before your arrival you’ll get a code for the keypad to the front door Make sure to park in your designated parking spot Other things to note This is a no smoking and no pet property The main source of heat for this cabin is two baseboard heaters. One is located in the living room/dining room area and one in the bedroom.
