Description
Snuggle up on the couch with good book, warm up by the gas fireplace in the winter, or watch the fog settle with an early morning cup of coffee from this pet-friendly, lakefront 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin. The cozy Pine Cabin is perfect for a couples get away or a staycation for yourself. With no distractions of today's modern "amenities", get back in touch with nature and embrace the solitude that the Pine Cabin offers with beautiful views of the lake and our everchanging, visiting waterfowl. The space Mountain Laurel Lake was built by my husband in 1985. He made his vision a reality by constructing a dam and digging out a lake that is spring fed. He then hand built 6 cabins with docks, a covered bridge, roads, and even the water supply system. Mountain Laurel Lake is built on an appx 130 acres. Five of the six cabins sit directly on the lake. The Mini Farm, which does not sit directly on the lake, does have its own dock on the lake. Each cabin has private lake access with a 2 person trolling motor fishing boat. The lake is stocked with bass, crappie, blue gill and catfish. There are different hiking trails to pick from, varying in levels of difficulty. ***NO FISHING LICENSE REQUIRED*** The trails are beautiful all year round with abundant wildlife flourishing on our hunt-free property. There are creeks and dramatic cliffsides sprouting new waterfalls with heavy rains to enjoy along trails. The lake is appx 30 acres and only guests have access. Many guests have spent lazy summer afternoons floating on the lake without a care in the world. There is no need to worry about large boats, or the waves they create. Our lake is large enough to spend all day fishing, but small enough to hear your family call you back in for dinner. ***NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY*** A variety of wildlife can be seen at Mountain Laurel Lake. Some of the wildlife seen include white-tailed deer, squirrels, a wide array of birds, and beautiful native wildflowers. Guest access There are no stairs to get into this cabin, however there are stairs to get to the boat dock.
