Beautiful cottage overlooking Lake Willoughby with lake access
Description
Welcome to “The Peregrine” - our cozy 2-bedroom getaway overlooking beautiful Lake Willoughby. This is our little slice of the NEK of Vermont paradise, and we’re so excited to share it with you! Wake up to mountain views, enjoy breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake, and spend your days exploring the lake, hiking nearby trails, skiing, snowmobiling, or just relaxing with a book. In the evenings, watch the sunset paint the sky and then settle in for a peaceful night under the stars. The space A bright, open living space with cathedral ceilings and big windows and sliding doors for soaking in the views. Two comfortable bedrooms - one with a queen bed, the other with 2 twin beds - and a full bathroom. The master bedroom has a jacuzzi tub that’s perfect after a day of hiking or skiing, as well as a corner desk with a computer monitor. Our cottage is located at the top of the property, offering views and privacy, overlooking a grassy yard and gravel drive which leads down past 3 other cottages to the main road. Shared lake access is just across the street and the North Beach of Lake Willoughby is just around the corner. Central air in the summer and forced hot air in the winter keep the home comfortable year round. A propane stove provides ambiance and additional warmth. Sliding doors in both the living room and master bedroom allow for a refreshing breeze throughout the home. Whether you love to ski, ice fish, snowmobile, or just snuggle up indoors, our cottage is a wonderful place for a winter getaway as well! The VAST snowmobile trail is accessible from the property. With a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, reliable WiFi, and an assortment of books and board games, our cottage will quickly feel like your home away from home! Our cottage comfortably accommodates 4 guests, making it ideal for individuals, remote workers, couples, couples traveling together, or a small family with older children. Please sure to enter an accurate guest count when booking. We do require the names of all guests who will be staying at the cottage so we have an accurate record for safety and insurance purposes. A note about water activities and use of equipment that is made available through the WilloughVale Inn and Cottages Owner Association: Swimming, use of kayaks/canoes/paddle boards/life jackets/etc, and use of tetherball and the swingset are voluntary and done so at the guest’s own risk. This recreational equipment is provided and managed by the property association. We, as the owners of this cottage, are not responsible for their condition, availability, or maintenance. Guests are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their party. To the fullest extent permitted by law, guests release and hold harmless the property owners from claims arising from guest’s voluntary participation in these activities. Guest access Guests have full access to the living space of the cottage, with the exception of the locked closet in the second bedroom, as well as the property grounds. Lake access is across the street where you will find a beautiful grassy area with lounge chairs, a fire pit, a dock, and a ramp. Bring your kayaks and launch from here! There is also a basketball court and tetherball available. Please note: there is an older swing set located on the shared grounds - it is not owned, maintained, or controlled by the host and is not recommended for use by guests. This property is located in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, where winter road conditions can change quickly. For guest safety, a 4WD or AWD vehicle is recommended during winter months. Vehicle parking is right next to the cottage, and if you have a boat/snowmobile trailer it can be parked at the bottom of the hill in the inn’s parking lot. Smoking of any kind is NOT allowed inside or outside the cottage. Doing so will result in substantial additional professional cleaning fees. Please do not drive or park on the lawn. The septic system is located beneath the lawn, and driving on it can cause serious damage. Any damage resulting from driving or parking on the lawn will be the guest’s financial responsibility. The tap water is safe to drink, though guests may prefer to bring bottled water. During the winter months, the driveway is professionally plowed as needed.
