Welcome to Little Eddy on the Sheepscot! This waterfront condo offers the perfect retreat to unwind while you spend some time exploring the beautiful mid-coast region of Maine. We are close to some of the most beautiful beaches in New England. Not a salt water fan? We have crystal clear lakes, hiking trails, fun shops and pretty downtowns. Much to explore within a 30 minute drive in any direction! The space First level spacious efficiency unit with beautiful views in the "Lodge" building of the Sheepscot Harbour Village Resort. Sleeps up to 3 comfortably with a queen size bed, and a full size sofa bed. There is a full size bath that includes a shower/tub combo, towels, shampoo, body wash and a hair dryer. The Kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, crockpot, electric skillet, double electric burners, rice cooker, toaster, coffee pot, glasses, dishes, etc. There is no stove, but there are plenty of healthy tasty recipes to make using our skillet, burners and/or crockpot! We have a TV mounted with an articulating arm and streaming, along with a small library, and games. There is also a restaurant on the property that serves delicious meals with beautiful views. Live music in the lounge Thurs-Sat. Other things to note A guidebook with fun activities will be provided, but here are a few to get your wheels turning... o Downtown Boothbay Harbor. Walk around the shops & enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants. While you are there go for a walk across the historic footbridge. o Ferry to Monhegan Island. Grab the ferry from downtown Boothbay Harbor. This is an absolute must if you have the time. Be sure to check the schedules for Hardy Boats or Balmy Day cruises. If you are not staying over on the island, the last ferry out is at 2:45. Don’t miss it! Once on the island, be sure to check out Monhegan Brewing. o Drive the beautiful coastal route of East Boothbay. Take Ocean Point Rd to Shore Rd. Stop along the route to view Ram Island Lighthouse and collect some sea glass. o Coastal Botanical Gardens. Try to find all 5 trolls! If you are visiting in November or December, then you must check out Gardens Aglow o Beach lover? Visit Popham State Park in Phippsburg and Reid State Park (my personal favorite) in Georgetown. Pemaquid Beach is also another favorite o Walk across the bridge to Wiscasset. Grab a lobster roll at the famous Red’s Eats (Seasonal) or walk to Water Street Kitchen & Bar on Water Street. o Pack a picnic and walk to Fort Edgecomb, an 1812 fort with several acres overlooking the bay. A close walk from Little Eddy. Take the back route through the neighborhood. o Castle Tucker. A beautiful historic mansion in Wiscasset along the Sheepscot River o Come in October and attend the Damariscotta Pumpkin Festival. • Check out the Old Port in Portland (50 mins south) • Freeport- LL Bean & the outlets. While you are in Freeport, make a stop at Wolfes Neck State Park. Beautiful! (30 mins south) •Maine Maritime Museum in Bath. A special place! •To the north...Camden, Rockport and of course the stunning Acadia National Park. Many more ideas in the guidebook! After a full day of exploring the mid-coast, you get to come back and have a walk along the dock at sunset or sit by the fire and think about the day you just had and what fun adventures await you tomorrow.
