Enjoy a getaway at this lovely waterfront cottage. Located in a quiet neighborhood, this two bedroom home features one and a half bathrooms, home theater space, full kitchen, spacious deck overlooking the water, an outdoor picnic area and parking. Private waterfront access allows for swimming, fishing and kayaking. It's a short distance to state parks, casinos, farms, golfing, movie theater, shopping and restaurants. Enjoy day trips to Mystic CT, Rhode Island, and shoreline beaches. The space This cozy cottage overlooks the water with just over 100 feet of accessible shoreline. Relax in the morning with your coffee while enjoying the view of the water, listening to the birds sing and watch the geese, ducks, and cranes. And maybe you’ll be lucky enough to spot the local otter. There are steps with a railing going down to the water. It's great for wading around in and cooling off your feet. It only gets deep farther out and there is a good amount of seaweed in some areas. But the Lilly pads and flowers are very pretty. And great if little ones want to hunt for frogs. We have solar lights around the yard and water and lights around the patio area. The property is also beautiful in the fall. The lake is great for fishing (we have 2 kid size poles available), kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. There is also a state park 2 mins down the road if you prefer more sandy beach swimming space. There is a fire pit and grill available for use. We ask that they do not get moved. Inside you’ll enter into the main living space flooded with natural light. There’s a split unit for AC and heat in living room and both bedrooms on main level have ceiling fans and window AC units during the summer. (Windows are on the older side so suggest using AC.) Both levels also have their own thermostats. The master bedroom has a full bed with closet and dresser. The secondary room has a bunk bed (ladder on side) with a full bed on bottom and twin on top. This room also has a closet with small dresser inside with room to hang cloths. The main floor bathroom has a walk in shower and stacked laundry. There is a small bamboo bench that can be used in the shower if needed. The kitchen is stocked well regarding dishes and utensils. There is an electric stove/oven, microwave, toaster, tea kettle and coffee maker as well as a French press. The bottom level features a movie room with large modular sectional along with table and chairs - great for playing board games or a work area. There is a half bath and this level has its own exit to front yard. The stairs to lower level are narrow. See pictures. We have a flat walkway up to front door with one step into doorway. The Deck has two shallow steps to main area. The front door is a bit narrower than standard doors. (About 29in wide) Guest access Guest have access to both levels of house except for a couple storage rooms that are locked on bottom level. Other things to note Property has fire extinguisher and fire blanket on main level in kitchen and first aid kit in main floor bathroom.
