Description
Escape to the quiet ridgelines of Southwest Virginia at Stoney Ridge Farm & Retreat — a one-of-a-kind mountain getaway nestled on 200 acres of private farmland. Stay in a fully equipped 24’ yurt at an elevation of 2,850 feet, complete with a full kitchen, bathroom, and cozy open-concept sleeping and living space. Come to rest, reflect, or roam — Stoney Ridge welcomes you. The space Located on the privacy of open farmland and mountain forest tucked into the side of the Ridge, our 24 foot, round dome Yurt is a unique experience and makes for the perfect getaway. We are a four season destination with hiking and biking year round and winter sports when it snows. The yurt is a short distance up a gravel farm road. It can accommodate 2WD but AWD/4WD is recommended if you have it. The farm property features alpacas, chickens, cows, and pups. The farm animals are off in the pasture and will not bother your stay. However, there is an adjacent gate on the property that must be open and closed when coming and going to protect the farm life. Once at the Yurt, it features a spacious deck with solar powered lights to light up the night (these can also be turned off for star gazing) We have a telescope provided for your viewing pleasure. Nothing beats an Appalachian view. Pets welcome, every dog deserves a day on the farm. Horses welcome also. Inside the yurt features a sky light, a spacious "All-in-one" living area with a queen size pullout couch. Followed by the queen size bedroom. There is a separate room for the full sized bathroom with a standing shower. The kitchen features full amenities with a refrigerator, oven, sink and dining table. There is also a laundry room. Guest access Nothing is off limits, we have an easy arrival process. Feel free to explore the land as long as you're mindful of the wildlife in it.
