Nestled among the lush southern gardens & tree-lined Historic District, this 1910 Grand Victorian graces the corner of a prominent street. With original stained woodwork intact for over 115 years, it boasts spacious rooms, soaring 12ft ceilings, & a serene koi pond with a rushing waterfall, surrounded by vibrant greenery. Boutique hotel-inspired yet warm & inviting, this retreat offers comfort, charm, and a host who welcomes you like family—your perfect second home awaits. The space The Beaux – A Charming & Elegant Retreat Welcome to The Beaux, a beautifully appointed private bedroom with an exclusive bathroom, located on the first floor of the main house. This inviting space features a luxurious king-size adjustable bed, a 65” smart TV, and two nightstands, ensuring both comfort and convenience. The room is adorned with rich, ornately carved wood furniture, including an armoire, dresser with mirror, and chest of drawers, providing ample storage for your belongings. One of the standout features of The Beaux is the stunning built-in bench that spans the length of three large picturesque windows. This cozy nook bathes the room in natural light during the day, creating the perfect spot for reading, nature watching, or simply unwinding. Just a few steps down the hall, your private bathroom awaits—recently renovated to honor the home’s historic charm. The original clawfoot tub has been lovingly restored and refitted with a modern shower fixture, blending vintage elegance with contemporary convenience. Additionally, the bathroom features a bidet with a heated seat and water function for an added touch of luxury. A Note on Our Historic Home: Casa de Louque is nestled in a designated historic district, meaning our home is filled with character, intricate woodwork, and crystal chandeliers, but it is not a brand-new, pristine space. While you may notice some imperfections typical of historic homes, we believe its charm and architectural beauty make it a truly special retreat. If you appreciate classic craftsmanship and seek a peaceful neighborhood for a relaxing getaway, we’re confident you’ll love making Casa de Louque your home away from home. Guest access Guest Access at Casa De Louque Upon arrival, guests will find designated street parking directly in front of the main house. From there, step up to the front porch and enter your four-digit pin provided to you via check-in instructions on the booking platform’s messaging system. Once the code is entered, the door will unlock, granting access to the foyer/lobby. Guests are welcome to enjoy all communal (shared) spaces on the first floor (upstairs access is currently unavailable due to renovations). These spaces include: • The Safari Lounge – A BYOB bar and sitting area inspired by the Hattiesburg Zoo, featuring a striking safari animal-themed bar fixture, a cozy gas log fireplace, leather tufted furniture for an old-world charm, lush greenery for a jungle-like ambiance, and a crystal chandelier to bring balance and elegance to the space. • The Theater Room – Equipped with an 85” smart TV, perfect for movie nights (design updates still in progress). • The Dining Room & Kitchen – Available for guest use. • The Front Porch & Backyard – Includes peaceful sitting areas around the koi pond, ideal for relaxation. Please Note: Casa De Louque is also home to Beau, our large but friendly dog. While we do our best to keep him separated from guests, he may greet you from the top of the stairs or cross paths with you during his outdoor breaks. If you say hello, you might just become his new best friend! Other things to note Only the number of guests listed on the reservation (maximum of 2) are allowed to stay overnight (10p to 7a) with a maximum of 2 visitors (between hours of 7a to 10p) . No parties. All parking is along the street. May not be ideal for day sleepers as we use this time for vacuuming, cleaning and laundry; however, we do offer ear plugs at no charge ☺️. A Letter to Our Guest From Your Hosts Welcome to Our Home — Southern Hospitality, Modern Edition If you’re looking for Nana’s Victorian Creepy Doll Collection, bless your heart… you won’t find her or her porcelain army here. Not our style. What you will find is a home that looks charmingly old-world, but don’t worry—none of the furniture is actually 200 years old or seconds from crumbling beneath you. Everything is brand-new, sturdy, and built to look antique without making ghostly squeaks when you sit down. We’re your hosts, Joel & Matthew. Yes, we live here, but think of us as your modern-day, ambiverted version of Southern hospitality. We take our guests’ lead: • Desire conversation, banter, and light gossip? We can oblige with flair. • Prefer to retreat into solitude like a misunderstood royal with a tragic backstory—and zero updates about someone you don’t know, like Uncle Earl’s kidney issues? Perfect. Your quiet time is sacred. About the Home: You are strongly encouraged to use all the community spaces. The theater room, bar & lounge, both porches, the kitchen… these are not “admire and tiptoe like it’s an HGTV set” spaces. No, no. They are for living, lounging, luxuriating, and thriving. This is a home, not a staged open house where every pillow must remain perfectly fluffed. Our goal is simple: comfort when you want company, quiet when you need space, and a home that feels inviting without the “don’t touch anything” museum vibes. ⸻ Sleeping Arrangements (For Larger Groups): We can comfortably sleep 8+ guests with advance notice (We fill up quickly, darlings, so plan accordingly.) Here’s the royal inventory: 👑 Main House (“The Big House”) • Two king beds • Separate bedrooms & bathrooms 👑 Carriage House (Studio-Style Apartment) • One king bed • One queen pull-out sofa in the living area 👑 Extras Upon Request • Additional twins or air mattresses for surprise companions, children, or dramatic fainting couches. And yes—Joel and Matthew will be present, floating about like friendly household spirits: offering hospitality when desired and respectful silence when not. ⸻ So come in, dearest traveler. Indulge. Relax. Take up space. Use the furniture. This home was made for comfort, charisma, and a touch of theatrical charm… not for being kept in a glass case like something in Nana’s curio cabinet. Welcome in—make yourself comfortable. That’s exactly what we designed this place for.
