Cozy River Cabin in Bend, TX

In the heart of the Texas Hill Country and just 4 miles from the entrance to Colorado Bend State Park, our cabin offers a beautiful view from your private deck and easy walking access to the Colorado River. Walk along the river, watch beautiful sunsets, see unobstructed starry skies, observe the natural wildlife, and explore hiking/biking trails in the nearby state park. Enjoy a fully furnished kitchen, watch TV with lots of streaming options, and use WiFi to work (if you absolutely must!). The space Located on FM 580, this cabin is 600 sq feet with one bedroom, a bathroom, and an open kitchen, dining, living area. The private deck is elevated over a small cliff, providing an unobstructed view of the river. While the sofa sleeper allows 4 guests to visit comfortably, you are also welcome to use some of our property for additional tent camping — but please let us know of your plans! In addition to all the state park has to offer (make sure to make reservations!), you can explore the nearby towns of San Saba, Llano, and Lampasas — or visit one of the local wineries. The Bend General Store (.4 miles away) always has good food and good music on the weekends. Guest access Feel free to wander the property down to the river and all along the riverbed in both directions, but be mindful of thorny things! We have deer, wild hogs, raccoons, armadillos, occasional turkeys, bald eagles, and caracaras, and a plethora of other birds — all unpredictable visitors! As one would expect in the hill country, the path to the river is rocky and a bit steep in spots, so you’ll want to pay attention! Other things to note Our high speed internet makes staying connected super easy. While being in a rural area provides many benefits, it also has some limitations. Because we are on a septic system, we ask that you are particular about what you flush, and that you use the strainer in the kitchen sink to prevent food going into the system.
