The space About This Space Welcome to your private Artist’s Casita—a soulful, detached sanctuary nestled in the heart of Westgate. Whether you're in town to record, create, or simply soak up the best of South Austin, this space offers the perfect balance of community and quietude. The Interior The casita is designed for comfort and productivity. It features: Dedicated Workspace: A quiet area to write, design, or catch up on emails. Kitchenette: Stocked with a fridge and all the cooking essentials you need for light meals. Creative Energy: We are musicians and artists, and we’ve curated this space to be a peaceful haven for fellow creators. The Great Outdoors Step through the doors onto your large private deck, which overlooks a sprawling backyard. It’s the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening stargazing. The yard is a shared community space where you’ll find: Fitness Corner: Basic workout equipment and a punching bag for staying active. The Garden: A seasonal garden that we tend to throughout the year. Dog-Friendly Vibes: The yard is kept clean and quiet, providing a safe and spacious area for your furry friends to enjoy. The Location & Neighborhood Westgate is one of Austin’s most convenient and walkable neighborhoods. You are perfectly positioned to experience the city like a local: Transit: Located right on a main bus route for easy, car-free travel. Proximity: Only 10 minutes from Downtown Austin and the iconic Zilker Park. Nature: Less than 10 minutes from the Barton Creek Greenbelt and the best haunts in South Austin. Guest Interaction & Privacy You’ll be sharing the property with James, who manages our on-site production studio in the main house, and Andrew, the homeowner. We respect your boundaries: if you want total solitude, you won’t even know we’re there. If you’re feeling social, we’re happy to share a drink and local tips. We often host artists working together in the main house, so if you're looking for a collaborative environment, you’ve found the right place! Guest access You'll have access to the casita, backyard and fire pit area. Most of the time the main house and kitchen is available as well - especially if you co-book with our other spaces - useful for creativity or events. You'll get a code for the door for access upon arrival. You can park on the street or in the driveway easily. Other things to note We'd prefer you be a good person and speak up and respect the home and space. We offer this to you!
