Nap in one of the hammocks or WFH with a view. Stunning sunsets, mature trees, and full privacy. Excellent hiking & snowmobile trails. Perfect for those seeking luxury, nature, & comfort in every season. The space The Bedrooms Three main floor bedrooms - 1 King in primary with ensuite and TV, 2 Queen beds in the other rooms. One private flex room in the basement, currently with a queen bed. The Porch Screened-in, cozy... late nights or early morning's, this is the best spot in the house to nap, relax, or chat into the wee hours of the morning. Barbecuing here in three seasons with the view and no bugs is heaven. In winter, we add a fire table and move the barbecue out to the little deck and bring in a few extra comfy chairs for a cozy gathering place. The Big Deck Day bed, hot tub, conversation set and outdoor dining make the Big Deck the place to congregate and spend time all together, enjoying amazing sunsets with a drink in hand. In winter, the day bed and conversation set are put away and the two gravity chairs are moved to the big deck, perfect for snuggling up under blankets and stargazing on a crisp night in between rounds in the hot tub. The Little Deck Cozy spot to enjoy the gravity chairs and curl up with a book, just off the Porch. In winter, the barbecue is moved to the little deck. The Docks Gradual entry, sandy beach, easy swimming and a floating dock (May through September) close enough to get to while still touching, deep enough to dive off the other side. The Grove We camped for a decade before buying our cottage and the Grove is a testament to our roots, with a hand-built firepit, perfect hammock trees and shallow water entry for swimming. The Fire Pit Relax in one of the six Muskoka chairs under the twinkling lights around the Iron Embers luxe firepit, steps from the wood-burning sauna. The Living Room Propane fireplace, cozy couches, satellite TV, also equipped with Roku, and stunning lake views make this room the favourite indoor place to chill. The Basement Hang out and watch movies or play video games on the 76 inch screen, or gather around the poker table for cards or a board game. Enjoy over 120 retro games on the custom arcade console or simply cozy up around the pellet burning fireplace. The Library Find a book to read during your stay (lots of variety for everyone’s tastes + kids' books!) or pick a board game off the shelf. The day bed has a trundle pull out and the library can close off with a curtain and features a pull down screen with a projector and Roku. Perfect spot for kids to tuck away while the adults keep the evening going. Bedding for the day bed can be found in the closet in the bedroom in the basement. The Kitchen We live here, this is not just a rental property, so pretty much everything you need is here for your stay. In addition to dishes, pots, pans, cutlery and glassware, you’ll find: - a drip coffee machine - a kettle - 4 slice toaster - barbecue tools - steak knives - Tupperware - cheese grater - an assortment of spices - salt and pepper - olive oil - large roasting pan - baking tools Guest access Guests have access to the entire home save one storage closet upstairs in the primary bedroom and a storage room in the basement. Out buildings include a sauna and shed that guests have full access to, as well as a working outhouse should the need arise. Reminder, there are two full, beautiful bathrooms indoors :). The a-frame garden shed is open and unlocked, but should be considered off limits. The green, covered car park is open for guest use. The driveway can hold seven vehicles. Other things to note Less than ten minutes and you are right in downtown Bancroft, with cute shops, thrift stores, restaurants and a fantastic local brewery. Three-minute drive to a well-stocked Esso for all your convenience needs. There are hundreds of kilometers of snowmobile and ATV trails minutes away. Tait Lake also has a public boat launch. And if you want to sound like a local, L'Amable is pronounced "La Maab". :) The cottage is equipped with two indoor fireplaces (one propane, one wood pellet) and two outdoor fire pits (one rustic in a campground setting, one luxe firepit). Both pellets and firewood are included in your rental. The barbecue in the screened-in porch lets you grill in inclement weather and avoids the bugs. Campground setting in the grove of trees has a firepit, camping chairs and two hammocks, calm and peaceful away from the dock and main building. In spring/summer, the pond is a vibrant home to frogs and the occasional duck and is a peaceful setting to relax near. We've created a space where people can come together over the dining table or the card table and enjoy each other's company, or retreat for some private recharge time, with enough zones for 10 people to all have their own space. Excellent wifi across the whole property and a dedicated office area and workspace in one of the bedrooms lets you take the meetings you need and hit the dock at 5:01. Both bath and beach towels are provided, as are shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles in both showers. Tap water is well-drawn and potable, no need for plastic water bottles.
