Description

Enjoy a unique stay in the guest house of our small farm just minutes from Playa Ostional, famous for its great waves and the monthly turtle nesting phenomenon, and only a 15 min drive from the busier tourist hub of Nosara! The guest house is surrounded by chickens, goats, horses, and friendly dogs. Relax by the new pool, explore the farm and cool down in your private Cold Plunge. Perfect for surfers, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a peaceful Costa Rican retreat. The space ✨ Highlights: -Private guest house with comfortable amenities (please note in the photo the layout and distance between my house and guest house) - Shared Swimming Pool -Small farm with chickens, goats, horses, and dogs -Close to Ostional Beach with excellent surf -Witness the monthly turtle nesting phenomenon - 15/20 Minutes from Nosara’s shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions -Relaxing nature setting, ideal for stargazing and unwinding -Perfect for surfers, families, and nature lovers -This is a shared property where I live in the house next door. Please see photos for reference. - Please refer to “Guest Access” and “Other Details” for a more in depth idea of what to expect. Guest access Property is open acess. Please make yourself at home. Enjoy the animals and feel free to walk around anywhere you like. Because of the location you will need a vehicle. The public bus system does not come very close to the house. Keep in mind the shortest route to the house has a steep incline that goes through a very small river crossing that during the dry season is bone dry or an inch deep. No need for a 4x4. In case of heavy rains in other times of the year there is a longer route out of the neighborhood which a 4x4 is needed. Other things to note Happy to coordinate a horse ride or help with any other excursions you may want to do. We have gorgeous horse and hiking trails in the neighborhood and my neighbor offers excellent bi-lingual horse tours. There are also great cultural tours in the area that allow you to really experience this part of Costa Rica. Also please note: Ostional is a beautiful, authentic Costa Rican beach town surrounded by jungle and wildlife — you may see geckos, insects, or other small critters both inside and outside the house during your stay though we do our best with your co operation to keep all doors and windows closed when not needed. We also have a rooster on site. Power, water, and internet can occasionally go out though for short periods of time, and road conditions change with the seasons — dusty in the dry months and muddy in the rain (a 4x4 is recommended June-November). Please keep food sealed, use repellent as needed, and don’t flush toilet paper. These are all part of the charm of living close to nature, and no refunds can be provided for these normal local conditions. Also this is a working farm where we are beginning the cultivation of food along with animal husbandry. There will be workers on site from time to time and with that comes occasional noise from machines such as weed eaters or chain saws.
