Our charming rural cottage is tucked into the mountainside, surrounded by the natural beauty of sage and mountain flowers, with spectacular views in all directions. The Pincushion Mountain hiking trail leading to Keremeos Columns Provincial Park is literally out the front door. Minutes away from the fruit stands, wineries, and cideries of the Similkameen Valley wine region, the cottage is fully equipped for you to enjoy cooking up your own tasty dishes from fresh local organic ingredients. The space Situated in the picturesque Similkameen Valley, our self-contained 360 sq. ft. cottage features a separate bedroom with a queen bed as well as a pull-out sofa in the living area. A fully equipped kitchen includes a large fridge/freezer, in-counter range, dishwasher, microwave and toaster oven. The 3/4 bathroom is accessible from both the bedroom and living area and features a roomy tiled shower with softened water. A heat pump conditions the space and a large ceiling fan keeps air circulating in the bedroom. A tabletop barbeque and bistro set furnish the deck. We're located just off Hwy 3A, 5 minutes from Keremeos and 30 minutes from the beaches of both Penticton and Osoyoos. Apex Mountain Resort and Nickel Plate Nordic Center are also 30-40 minutes away. Guest access Located on 10 acres of private property, the cottage has its own driveway and is accessible round-the-clock with a coded entry lock. For guests with mobility limitations, there are only two steps up to the deck, and the rest of the cottage is all one level. Parking is available for 2 vehicles on site. Level 2 EV charging: the cottage is wired with a nema 14-50 receptacle on a 40 amp breaker. Guests must supply their own charging cable. Other things to note Adventures for outdoor enthusiasts abound: alpine hiking, cycling, kayaking, river tubing, quadding, fishing, and golfing in the summer; downhill skiing, tubing, and snowshoeing in the winter. Culinary delights for foodies are plentiful in the valley’s farm-to-table restaurants, organic food markets and bistros, and a multitude of fruit stands. Wine lovers can learn about and savour the region’s award-winning wines and ciders at over 15 tasting rooms in the Keremeos/Cawston area.
