Description

Welcome to María Bonita. It’s a pleasure for our family to host you in our home. We’ve decided to share it with people who appreciate being surrounded by ancient trees, beautiful gardens, and stunning views of the Central Valley. It’s the perfect place to enjoy with family or friends, immersed in vibrant nature. Ideal for adventurers and nature lovers looking to disconnect from the city. The space The house was designed to embrace nature; its details reflect a deep love and respect for the environment. Located at over 2,300 meters above sea level, the climate ranges between 13°C and 18°C (55°F to 64°F), making it a natural gateway to the protected area of the Barva Volcano Lagoon. The social area is spacious, open, and welcoming. A fireplace is the centerpiece, with large windows that open onto a terrace facing the forest. The terrace features a covered BBQ area and an outdoor dining table. The kitchen is large and fully equipped, as is the main indoor dining room. On the ground floor, you’ll find three bedrooms. The master bedroom, named María Bonita, has a queen bed, a thoughtfully designed private bathroom, direct access to the terrace, and views of the forest and Central Valley. The other two rooms, El Roble and El Jardín, are also beautifully decorated to offer a memorable stay. They share a full bathroom located between them. Upstairs, there is a semi-open loft-style bedroom with two wooden bunk beds made of local cypress. There is also a TV lounge with cable and a full bathroom. Guest access The property is spacious and full of natural beauty. Within the grounds, you’ll find a small crystal-clear waterfall, a forest of centuries-old oak trees, and exquisite gardens perfect for peaceful walks and quiet reflection. Other things to note Due to the high altitude, temperatures can get quite cool—bring warm clothing, scarves, and closed shoes to stay cozy.
