Enjoy the serenity of a mixed conifer forest in a quiet neighborhood in one of the country’s cleanest air counties. Minutes from golf, b/hiking, & CA's largest natural lake, enjoy the spacious decks, comfy IKEA king size bed with feather topper, full kitchen, and fresh spring water piped in! Enjoy full upper house in contemplative splendor. (Downstairs studio unit may be in use.) The space This spring fed 1,100 sf home is nestled in the tall pines with skylights, wood floors, propane wood stove, carpeted bedroom, dining room, full bath w/tub and spacious decks on an oversized lot in a quiet village on Cobb Mtn. Decorations are contemplative artistic. Master bedroom has sitting room with easy bird viewing. Outdoor decks are tucked in the lower canopy and provide spacious but intimate exposure to forest. Guest access Access to full upstairs home and parking, decks, and side yards. Other things to note Yoga mats and supports, sitting cushions, and small weights available for use. There is a table in the living room that can be used for puzzles and a couple of puzzles available. Some lights are on timers and will go off around 10pm. Quiet time at 10:00pm. There is a studio Airbnb below the bedroom. Please be mindful of stepping, voices and other noises while in the bedroom and on back decks. Laundry facilities available $5/load. Layered clothing recommended: Cobb Mountain is usually cooler than the surrounding low lying areas, but can sometimes be warmer depending on air currents, etc. The house is situated under tall pines, Douglas firs and cedars, which lends itself to cooler temps. We live in an active geothermal area (one of the largest geothermal electricity producing regions on the planet!) that is prone to small earthquakes on occasion. We live in a high fire risk area. Additional instructions for fire safety and evacuation on site. Country living: you will see wildlife including bugs, chipmunks, deer, and more. This is their home too so please be mindful of their existence. SUMMER: there is no air conditioning, but there are ceiling and area fans and a whole-house fan. Opening the windows at night and closing them during the day will keep the house coolest. SUMMER: Natural oil mosquito repellents on site. No use of products containing DEET or harsh chemicals. SUMMER: There is a resort across the way. Sounds can sometimes filter up to the bedroom, particularly during high season. WINTER: we get snow. Snow shovel available for walkways and decks. Can be slippery! Owners continue to use home on occasion. Please respect personal items found in bathroom, pantry and refrigerator.
