Amazing country retreat one hour from Madrid

Set in the lovely little-known countryside of the Alcarria, about 1 hour north-east of Madrid, this wonderful rustic little guest house will give you all the peace and tranquility you need. The region is famous for its lavender fields in July, lovely little historic villages and spectacular countryside. Plenty of activities available: canoe/kayak down the Tajo river, cycling, horse-riding, pic-nics, etc. The space The house, about 150 years old and built from local stone, was originally a water mill and is right next to the Tajuña river, about 15mins drive from the historic town of Brihuega. The Guest House is an independent extension, separate but joined to the main house. Upstairs there is a large double bedroom with en-suite open-plan bathroom, while downstairs is the living area and open-plan kitchen/workshop. The sofa opens up to make a double bed.
