Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Stroll to the public market, the historic parish temple, the Felipe Rivera Museum; visit Zinapecuaro's famous Atzimba Waterpark or one of the other hot-spring pools in nearby towns. Enjoy locally made "pan fallo," "carnitas," or mezcal. Relax inside with TV and Wi-Fi. There are close-by grocery stores, pharmacies, a restaurant, and small eateries. The airport is a half-hour away and Morelia, one hour. The space This is a large upstairs apartment with the conveniences of your own home: a full kitchen, dining area, and large living room, comfortable for up to six guests. There is one bedroom with two double beds and a large closet, and a second bedroom with one double bed. The larger bedroom has a glass sliding door that opens to a small balcony with a pleasant view overlooking the street. One bathroom has a shower, sink, mirror, toilet and ample storage space. A second, smaller bathroom has a shower and toilet with a mirror and vanity outside of the room. The living room features two sofa beds and a flat screen television. The kitchen includes sink, refrigerator, a 6-burner gas stove with an oven, counter space, coffeemaker, pots and pans, and dishes. The dining table in the kitchen area sits six people. There is a utility area with a washing stand and small, retractable laundry line. The entrance to the building is through a locked garage where you can park a standard-sized car for no additional charge. There is another retractable laundry line in the garage. The apartment is on a side street conveniently located one block from a commercial street. The side street is lined with residences and a medical clinic, and has on-street parking and very light traffic. There is a family restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and also offers take-out service. The nearby commercial area has grocery stores, pharmacies, hardware stores, local bus station and the San Jose church. The city center with market and the plaza with its colorful garden and portales are a 10-minute walk from the apartment. Places of interest in Zinapecuaro include the historic San Pedro and San Pablo parish church, the chapel of Maria Auxiliadora, an historic theater, the picturesque "Bridge of the Desert" over the small Zinapecuaro River, area residences in neo-classic style dated from the early 1900's, and the Felipe Rivera museum featuring local history. The Atzimba Aquatic Center is known for its warm, curing spring water, lounging areas, slides and waves, and shallower pool areas perfect for families. Nearby towns have additional spring-fed water parks. The town is known for its carnitas and bakeries, and has a wide variety of restaurants. Locally made, prize-winning pottery is displayed at a fair in February. The annual festival of Our Lord of Araro attracts thousands of out-of-town visitors in the early spring preceding Easter. Other festival days featuring community events--folk dancing, parades, music,food, etc--take place for the national patriotic celebrations in September and October, for the Day of the Dead, and for Christmas.
