Urcuqui has become a very popular destination thanks to Yachay Tech University and the Yachay EP. Despite this, there are few comfortable housing options available in the town itself. Our apartment is centrally located, just a half a block from the market, 3 blocks from the central square and 2.5 km from the University. The apartment is located behind ARBOL DE LA VIDA coffee shop, a popular meeting spot for Yachay students and staff. You can cross over to the coffee shop and hang out. Our apartment is beautifully decorated comfortably furnished and with large windows and lots of light. There is a spacious living room with a desk, dining area, fully equiped kitchen, a large bedroom with a queen and twin bed. The living room also has a sofa bed. You also have access to a shared washer and drier. Just outside the apartment is our coffee shop, in case you prefer not to cook or want a place to meet and socialize. The entrance to the apartment is through the coffee shop. The apartment itself is completely private and secure. You have access to a small patio and the common area with washer and drier. For those that are looking to get away and have some peace and quiet, we will help you get settled, answer any questions you may have and let you enjoy your stay. For those who are looking to engage with the community a bit more, we are happy to hang out and share with you what there is around Urcuqui. We live upstairs and are present at all times in case you need anything. We are located in a quiet and safe neighborhood half a block from the market, near stores and services. The bus to Ibarra passes the apartment and the stop is one block away. Taxis are at the market or the park. It is 2 and a half blocks to catch a bus to Yachay.
