Description
Welcome to "Rocaflor", a cozy retreat immersed in pristine nature. Our home is nestled on a quiet hillside, within a protected reserve in Llao Llao Park, right next to Nahuel Huapi National Park. Surrounded by native forests and with direct access to Lake Morenito, it offers breathtaking views of the majestic Cerro Tronador. Built with stone and wood, and styled with exquisite taste and modern comfort, it’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature and unwind. We can’t wait to host you! The space The house overlooks the lake and the mountains. It looks west so the days are longer and sunnier. It is made of stone and wood, with a contemporary design. It has wood panelling, wooden decks, and large windows to enjoy the astounding view from almost every room in the house. It is surrounded by a forest of ancient tall Coihue trees which adds magic to the setting and a beautiful well kept garden that borders the Lake Morenito. Rocaflor is built in various levels because of the steep terrain. For this reason there are stairs to access the different areas of the house and of the garden. It is luminous, with solid wood paneled walls and floors. It has a guest suite on a separate building, over the garage, 10 mts from the house accessed by stairs, that has a wonderful view and its own mini bar and kitchenette. There is an indoor barbecue in the kitchen, nights get chilly even in summer. We love to relax in the warm outdoor pool while we enjoy the view of the Cerro Tronador. Swim in the lake and go kayaking, or just sit by the lake shore and have a picnic. On still nights we light the outdoor fire and have a glass of wine while we wait for the asado to be ready. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy the entire property — the garden, the pool, and all the living spaces. Only the garage and storage areas will be locked, as they are reserved for our personal belongings. Other things to note The house is built on a hillside overlooking the lake, which is why there are stairs connecting the different levels. In winter, please keep in mind that this is a mountain area where it can snow heavily and temperatures can drop significantly. Access to the property is via a 1.3 km winding gravel road — part of the charm of being in the mountains. Depending on weather conditions, the road can be challenging, so it is important to have a vehicle equipped with snow tires or 4x4 capabilities. Rocaflor is nestled in a beautiful forest by the lake, offering a truly magical setting — though it is somewhat remote from the main roads. Perfect for nature lovers and adventurers!
