Description
Our cozy guest house is located along the Point Edward Highway, but don't let the name of our street discourage you from staying. It is a lovely, quiet, rural setting, along the shores of Sydney Harbour. Very centrally located between the city of Sydney and surrounding towns. The view is calming, and can be enjoyed on the covered front deck. Be sure to catch one of the stunning sunsets during your stay! The space The guest house has a ramp for those with mobility issues. Paved Parking Covered front deck Open kitchen/living room Full bath Queen sized bed Wifi Apartment sized range for cooking *Information binder* located on table next to the love seat. Guest access We’ve recently increased to price per night to offset the cost of the new heat pump. The price increase is also necessary as the number of disrespectful guests seems to be on the rise. We’ve also noticed the rates for hotel rooms, that offer much less than our space, are $260/night. We no longer offer laundry services at this time. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Wooded trails behind our property are open to guests, and are great for hiking with or without pets, mountain bikes, recreational vehicles or horses. Unfortunately since Hurricane Fiona much of the trail is impassable. Other things to note *** AIR CONDITIONING *** we finally have AIR CONDITIONING!!! Dogs are permitted, but please pick up after them. Bailey (the roan mare) and Nikki (the palomino mare) are really sweet and friendly. Please be mindful the electric fence is live and quite unpleasant when touched. If you are travelling with a dog, please ensure it does not chase the horses. At this time we will no longer be offering accommodations for people traveling with cats. We apologize for the inconvenience but we’ve sustained damage & the kitty litter is just far too messy. We are on a well and septic system, so we ask guests to be mindful of that during their stay. For all guests there is tea & coffee available, as well as milk, cream and sugar provided. *The sinks (kitchen & bathroom), tub and toilet are cleaned with Ajax, the glass surfaces are cleaned with Windex, and the floors are washed with Pinesol. Lysol wipes & Norwex cloths are used for the remainder of the surfaces & appliances. **The linens & towels are washed with Purex and Borax or Baking Soda, and line dried (weather permitting) or put in the dryer with dryer balls & a bounce sheet. ***The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand & dish soap, and optional bathroom air freshener are all scented. *If you have sensitivities to any of the cleaning products please disclose that before your arrival. As for the personal hygiene products, you are encouraged to bring and use your preferred brands. During the winter & spring we would ask that guests regulate the heat in the space using the thermostat, and avoid opening the windows. Heating the outdoors is not acceptable. The same applies to air conditioning - please keep the windows closed if you are using the ac (and do not turn the baseboard heaters on either). We ask that guests read the information binder upon arrival - most questions will be answered & expectations can be better managed. Registration Details RYA-2023-24-03301253209160784-2485
