Stop in for supplies, souvenirs, or a spontaneous deep conversation with Nolan about art, local history, or which granola bar is best. Speaking of history—Wanakena is a former logging village with rich roots. Take the historic walking tour to see charming buildings and learn the stories of the town’s past. Don’t miss the iconic footbridge—a photo-op waiting to happen. Looking for adventure? The Five Ponds Wilderness is practically your backyard. With miles of hiking trails, remote ponds, wildlife galore, and postcard-worthy scenery, it’s an ideal base camp for outdoor lovers. Hiking boots optional (but encouraged).
