Le Bercail. Charming and comfortable.

An old charming sailor's barn, this cozy nest with a cozy and intimate atmosphere welcomes you for a solo or duo getaway in the heart of Châteauneuf-sur-Loire. Located in a quiet alley close to the banks of the Loire, shops and the castle park, it offers an ideal setting to unwind. A perfect starting point to discover Sologne, the Orleans Forest and the Loire Valley castles. The space The ground floor consists of a living room including a kitchen equipped with a hob, microwave and refrigerator. The lounge area has a corner sofa and TV. A former barn of mariners, the building has few openings on the ground floor, hence a more subdued light and a warm atmosphere. The original masts of the boats, built into the ceiling, testify to the past of the place. Upstairs, a bright bedroom arranged under the roofs, in an old attic, offers a cozy and intimate space. This configuration involves some low beams in some places. The bedroom has a 160-cm (5' 3") double bed and an en-suite shower room, open to the room (no door, under a sloping ceiling), with integrated, non-separate toilet. Guest access The place is fully reserved for you. If you come by car, you can park on the port square, located 50 meters away. We don't have a private garden. The space in front of the accommodation is in a pedestrian area of the small Rue du Cail. Other things to note Enjoy the Loire and its changing landscapes throughout the seasons. This wild and royal river invites you to stroll, hike, jog, bike or fish. It is at the end of the small Rue du Cail, just a short walk from the property. Rue du Cail, composed of only a few houses, offers a peaceful and authentic setting. This is where Le Bercail is nestled, an old barn of boatmen that has retained its old charm. Original beams and stones, visible boat masts on the ceiling, preserved openings... everything contributes to a soft, subdued and warm atmosphere. A two-minute walk away, the Château de Châteauneuf-sur-Loire park is an ideal place to stroll. The recently renovated inter-municipal swimming pool is just 150 meters away. Exploring the city, you will discover its many tourist attractions as well as its local shops, accessible in three minutes on foot. For a wellness break, a nearby institute offers treatments by reservation. Come and discover this beautiful region, famous for its Loire castles and the Loire Valley bike route!
