Le Bercail. Charm and comfort.

This cozy nest, with a cozy and intimate atmosphere, is perfect for a solo or duo getaway. Located in a quiet alley on the banks of the Loire, in the heart of Châteauneuf-sur-Loire, it offers both tranquility and proximity to shops and the beautiful castle park. No private outdoor area, but close to beautiful natural spaces. Explore the Sologne, the Orléans forest, the castles of the Loire Valley… Ideal place to unwind. The space The ground floor consists of a living room including a kitchen equipped with a hob, microwave and refrigerator. The lounge area has a corner sofa and TV. An old sailor's barn, the building has few openings on the ground floor, resulting in a more subdued light and a warm atmosphere. The original masts of the boats, integrated into the ceiling, testify to the past of the place. Upstairs, brighter, a bedroom accommodates a 160 cm bed, consisting of two mattresses and a large duvet. It is attached to a shower room with built-in WC (not separate). This space, set in an old attic, has low main beams, requiring bending down to pass. Guest access The place is fully reserved for you. If you come by car, you can park on the harbor square, located 50 meters away. We don't have a private garden. The space in front of the accommodation is in a pedestrian area of Petite Rue du Cail. Other things to note Enjoy the Loire River and its changing landscapes throughout the seasons. This wild and royal river invites you to stroll, hike, jog, bike or fish. It is at the end of the small rue du Cail, just a short walk from the accommodation. The Rue du Cail, consisting of only a few houses, offers a peaceful and authentic setting. This is where Le Bercail is nestled, an old sailors' barn that has retained its charm of yesteryear. Original beams and stones, boat masts visible on the ceiling, openings preserved... everything contributes to a soft, subdued and warm atmosphere. A two-minute walk away, the Château de Châteauneuf-sur-Loire park is an ideal place to walk. The recently renovated inter-municipal swimming pool is just 150 meters away. Exploring the city, you will discover its many tourist attractions as well as its local shops, within a 3-minute walk. For a wellness break, a nearby institute offers treatments by reservation.
