Guest access Guests have private use of the house and the areas designated for their stay. Please note that some locked designated storage areas are reserved exclusively for staff and are not accessible to guests. Authorized personnel may access outdoor areas during the stay for scheduled pool and garden maintenance, plant care, and municipal trash collection. These visits are part of the property’s regular maintenance and do not include access to the interior guest areas of the home. Other things to note Puerto Escondido is an authentic beach town in development. You may experience elements of local life such as roosters, dogs, occasional construction, and unpaved streets. Please note that many streets throughout Puerto Escondido are unpaved, which is a common characteristic of the area. Tropical Environment Puerto Escondido has a tropical climate and can be very hot and humid throughout the year. Guests who are not accustomed to tropical weather should take this into consideration when planning their stay. Mosquitoes, insects, and other small tropical wildlife may naturally be present in the area despite regular cleaning and preventive pest-control measures. Guests should take appropriate personal precautions, particularly if they are sensitive to insect bites or stings. The presence of naturally occurring insects or related bites or stings is part of the local tropical environment and is outside the host’s control. Maintenance To keep the property in excellent condition, scheduled maintenance and operational services take place throughout the week. These may include pool cleaning, garden care, and the washing and preparation of linens from previous stays and for upcoming guests. Our authorized team may access designated outdoor and service areas of the property as needed to perform these tasks. These services may take place during a guest’s stay and do not involve access to the private interior areas designated for guests. Each authorized staff member has a unique access code, and their entry is recorded through our smart-lock system, allowing us to maintain a record of who accesses the property. Utilities Occasional power outages can happen in the area, especially during high-demand periods. Water is a valuable resource in Puerto Escondido, so we kindly ask guests to use it responsibly during their stay. Laundry While there is no on-site laundry service for guests, we’re happy to recommend a reliable local service with pick-up and delivery. Housekeeping Additional cleaning during your stay can be arranged for an extra fee upon request. Security For your safety, exterior security cameras are located on the property in outdoor areas only.
