Casa Romeo – charming residence in the village of Livo

Welcome to Casa Romeo! Casa Romeo is a charming apartment located in a characteristic 18th-century stone house – in the heart of Livo, in a typical mountain village of Alto Lario, surrounded by woods and meadows, above Lake Como. The space Casa Romeo owes its name to one of our two beautiful cats, Romeo, who occasionally spends the holidays, along with his brother Filippo and our family, in the apartment below – sharing now with joy this special place and this cozy little apartment with guests from around the world. The apartment of about 45 m² is located on the upper floor and has an independent entrance, accessible via 23 steps that start from the internal courtyard. It offers a cozy living room with a sofa and TV, a well-equipped open kitchen with a dining area, a balcony, a double bedroom, and a small bathroom. From the balcony of the living room you can see the village, up to the majestic Monte Legnone and Sasso Pelo – ideal for hiking in every season. –––––––––––––––––– • Our house is located under the 17th-century church of San Giacomo Nuova, whose bells accompany the day with a familiar and discreet sound. • As in many villages of this type, Livo also has ancient abandoned cottages that time has left to their fate. Nevertheless, Livo is one of the safest places on Lake Como: even in the evening and at night you can move around the village in complete peace of mind. Those who appreciate this atmosphere will discover the authentic charm of the village. We ask that you book our house only if this aspect is acceptable to you. It is important for us to be honest and transparent, so that your stay fully meets your expectations. Guest access Guests of Casa Romeo have exclusive access to all the interior spaces of the apartment. Only the courtyard, with a small shared seating area, is also accessible to guests of our apartment on the lower floor – the Casa Filippo. Other things to note Please note: • Our house is automatically classified by Airbnb as “close to the lake”. However, Livo is elevated to Lake Como: the journey to the shore or lakefront can take up to 15 minutes by car. • If "Carate Urio, 22010" appears as an address on Airbnb, please ignore it. Casa Romeo is located in Livo, above Gravedona and Uniti. Since, like many homes in the country, it does not have a house number, we invite you to follow our detailed description of the route in the digital guide for guests. • During the cold season, or if necessary, the apartment can be heated through the central heating system. • Casa Romeo does not have a kettle or oven, but it does have a microwave. • The fireplace in the apartment has an exclusively decorative function. • Upon arrival you will find a small welcome kit (toilet paper, soap, dish soap, etc.). Shampoo and body soap are not provided. Please note that there are no subsequent supplies. Private vacation rentals like this – unlike hotels – do not offer a complete equipment: we kindly invite you to provide yourself as necessary. • Pets are allowed by prior agreement (€35 per stay). We kindly ask you to bring blankets, towels, and bowls with you. • Unfortunately, Casa Romeo is not suitable for people with allergies. • Unlisted visits, parties and smoking inside the apartment are not allowed.
