Barnhouse is a peaceful rustic cottage in Kentmere, Tigoni - 25 minutes from Village Market. We are located within the larger Ladywood Farm - a serene, secure neighborhood perfect for families, small groups, or solo travelers seeking a quiet city break. Private tea trails & top restaurants are all within walking distance & as our guest, you get free access to Twin Rivers Park - waterfall/river walks & picnics with many other activities such as ziplining, sky cycling available at an extra cost. The space Tucked within a serene, fully fenced off private corner of our family compound, Barnhouse Cottage blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Built entirely from repurposed shipping containers, it’s designed to give you that perfect indoor–outdoor living experience - large windows flood the space with natural light, while cozy corners invite you to relax, connect, and unwind. A short 50-meter walk with a gentle incline leads from the main parking area to the cottage gate. If you have substantial luggage or accessibility considerations, vehicles can access the cottage gate for convenient drop-off. Bedrooms Three bedrooms all with queen beds and soft linen/duvets. The master bedroom is ensuite with a dedicated workspace and reading nook - great for remote work or quiet reflection. The two other bedrooms share the common bathroom. Living & dining • Sunroom deck: A bright dining space with a farmhouse table, benches, and twin couch—ideal for shared meals or morning coffee. • Outdoor porch: Rustic couches facing the frontyard with books and games—perfect for relaxed afternoons, reading, or evening conversations under Tigoni’s crisp air. • Two Kitchens: A fully equipped indoor open-plan kitchen and a small outdoor one, both stocked with modern appliances and cast-iron cookware. Coffee lovers have the option of drip coffee machine or instant brew. Tea trails: For a short morning or evening walk within the tea farms we have an excellent trail along a private road that starts right outside our gate. Highly recommended for evening sunsets or crisp morning sunrise walks Guest access Guests have access to the entire compound including the gardens. Other things to note Please do strictly observe quiet hours - this a neighbourhood regulation and loud music, fireworks or parties are not permitted after 7pm.
