Description

Sydney - Melbourne stopover or Canberra & Sydney Getaway - Relax by cascades & rockpools or fish for perch & trout. Views over Lake Hope to waterfalls 100m below. Open fireplace, firepit, snowfalls on the hilltops & 1.45hrs to skiing. Outdoor hot tubs, alfresco BBQ, aircon, full kitchen, satellite streaming. See Yarangobilly Hot Pools, Adelong Falls Gold Mines. Tumba rail trail 25 minutes from Hume Hwy & approx. 30 mins to Tumut/Gundagai. Pets welcome. Accommodates 8 - ideal for 2 families! The space You can do as little or as much as you like @mannaparkfarm. Meander down across Lake Hope in front of the homestead via the new eco bridge to the babbling cascades of Nadjongbilla just 100m down through the valley to wile away the hours with a good book in the adirondack deck chairs, swimming and fishing or sit by the open fire pit (winter). If you prefer you can enjoy the view from the nostalgic twin claw foot outdoor baths with a bubbly in hand up on the deck with nothing but the sound of the birds and waterfalls beneath you in the valley. Often a mob of kangaroos will bound up through the property or an inquisitive possum, wombat or wallaby may pass by. In winter you can take a day trip to the new Selwyn snow resort with a breakfast or dinner stop off in Tumut on the way to resupply. It’s not uncommon for snow to fall in Adjungbilly and environs in winter and summers can reach the 30s. Manna Park has been a historic retreat for individuals and families gathering by the cascades and rocky swimming holes under the shade of the sycamore tree since the 1800s. Originally the Adjungbilly General store most recently the home was owned by Attorney General Keppel Enderby and his family as their Canberra and Sydney country retreat. Adjungbilly was named Nadjongbilla, from the Wiradjuri word nadjong meaning permanent water. This rustic homestead has been lovingly renovated adding all the modern comforts whilst retaining old world charm and floorboards, including 4 king size beds with euro pillow tops, dishwasher, smart TV, airfryer and coffee machine. Also new oven and ceramic cooktop, weber family Q for deck side bbqs and outdoor dining while you enjoy the views over the mountain, cascades, ponds and green fields to the sheep and cows peacefully grazing high above you on the hilltop. Reverse cycle air conditioning upstairs and downstairs with half a flight of stairs between the split levels. Full washer and dryer laundry facilities. Master and en-suite upstairs with king size bed and king size daybed and two more interconnecting king bedrooms downstairs with main bathroom and large living. New kitchen, new en-suite and updated bathroom. Ideal for two families holidaying together. At Manna Park it’s your choice to escape the world and be fully off grid or connect to satellite WiFi for high speed downloads/uploads and for phone and internet access, and all entertainment options including streaming on the smart TV above the huge open fireplace. Linen is provided. Adjungbilly has four very distinctive seasons. In springtime you will just love the crabapple, pussy willow and pear blossoms everywhere along with daffodils, jonquils and snow drops popping up in bunches across the fields. In Autumn the fields are awash with color as the poplars and sycamores show off their vibrant colors. In summer there are rocky swimming holes amongst the cascades and in winter there is a huge open fireplace and outdoor fire pit with day trips to the snowfield. Less than 2hrs from Canberra and less than 4hrs from Sydney you truly won’t regret coming off the beaten track to escape the world, refresh and revive @mannaparkfarm. Access is via the Hume Highway heading south toward Melbourne turn off at Pettit and heading north toward Sydney turn off at Coolac exit. You’ll drive through scenic canola, lambing and calving fields for 25 minutes which will already serve to recharge and soothe your soul. You will not regret coming off the beaten track to revive and invest into your loved ones in this truly special place. Follow Gobarralong Rd which becomes Adjungbilly Rd then after Bogongo Public School turn right onto Red Hill Rd and then left onto Adjungbilly Village Rd at the Telstra phone box and fire station. Then it’s just a 2 minute drive through Bogongo sheep and cattle station to Manna Park gate on the left. Please be careful of lambs, calves and wildlife accross the road. This 2 minute stretch is unsealed however a good road and fine for normal two wheel access and great for countryside walks reminiscent of Ireland country roads and the set of PS I Love You. Guest access All facilities are exclusively for guests. Access is via the @mannaparkfarm gate and keys are in the lockbox at the front door with code. Other things to note Manna Park is midway between Gundagai and Tumut two historic large country hubs with full supermarkets, country pubs, cafes and Tumut especially has a range of restaurants as well as a Kmart store. As the property is 30 minutes drive to a supermarket please remember to bring in your supplies for self catering. There is bbq, airfryer, cook top, oven, rice maker, blender, and Nescafé pod coffee machine with frother inbuilt onsite for your full catering needs. If you are out for the day sight seeing it’s ideal to pop in for breakfast or dinner to explore Gundagai if your heading to Adelong Gold Mine or Tumbarumba Rail Trail or explore Tumut on the way to Selwyn Snow Resort or Yarangobilly hot pool. CHILD & PET SAFETY Please also be aware that although we are fully pet friendly and host families with babies and small children that the property has ponds and is situated on a cascading waterway. The ponds have a new eco bridge and the home is surrounded by elevated entertaining decks (up to 90cm high within building code). It’s not advisable to have children or pets anywhere outdoors in rural NSW unsupervised due to wildlife and farm animals such as cows, sheep, kangaroos, wombats (and wombat holes), platypus, snakes and echidnas and for this reason we recommend pets be kept on leash to keep them safe and children be kept within reach. If you are booking this property with children under 10 years or pets please be advised that you are accepting liability regarding their proper supervision and keeping them safe at all times. SECURITY Please note we have an external security camera on the driveway to the machinery shed for security of farming equipment only which is compliant with airbnb security policy with no internal cameras or cameras on private entertaining areas. We are not a five star hotel but we do offer five star country homestead hospitality - we have all the modern comforts combined with a renovated rustic home originally built in the 1800s which we think you will find stunningly beautiful as everyone who visits with all things country and original floorboards that make this nostalgic place such a special experience for everyone.o Registration Details Exempt
