The space From June 2025, we will rent out a guest room with en-suite bathroom and a complete guest apartment in our beautifully renovated former farmhouse from 1800. Both rooms have a comfortable king size bed, which can be changed into two single beds on request. Both rooms can be connected, creating a 4-person apartment with private access. Outside, you can use one of the terraces around the house, or the cozy veranda behind the house. We also offer a table d'hotes service. Not only can you recharge with us, but your electric car has also been thought of. In our private parking lot, there are two 11kw, type II charging points. So you can drive electric carefree in this corner of the Dordogne where the charging stations are still a bit sparse. Don't forget your charging cable. Welcome to Le Charme du Périgord! It gives us energy to share this beautiful place with guests who, like us, enjoy the little things in life. Stroll around the charming villages nearby, take a nice walk or bike ride, or visit a cave or castle. At the end of the afternoon, throw a ball on our jeu de boules court, or enjoy the silence of the French farmland and the view from the veranda with a drink in a rocking chair. Our farm is located in the hamlet of Puyfranc, which is part of the municipality of Saint-Sulpice d'Excideuil. The village is located in a charming corner of the Périgord Vert, in the beautiful department of Dordogne. You are still really in the French countryside here with small-scale agriculture and livestock, interspersed with pieces of forest and sleepy picturesque villages. A Valhalla for hikers, mountain bikers or experienced cyclists. But there are also lively towns where plenty of culture and history can be found, various caves, and countless castles. Within 60 minutes by car, cities such as Perigueux, Limoges and Brives can be reached. The region is known for its walnuts, truffles, apples, foie gras and much more. There are small-scale organic farmers who sell their products at home or at the local markets and so-called marchés gourmands. A short fifteen-minute walk from Le Charme du Perigord is a small grocery store where you can buy delicious locally produced cheese, beers, jams and meat in addition to daily necessities such as bread, vegetables and fruit. Within 15 minutes by car, you are in Thiviers or Excideuil, where you can choose from various supermarkets, restaurants, terraces and shops. Guest access Guests of the chambre d'hotes have access to the entrance area with honesty bar, their own room with bathroom of course, and the garden and terraces around the house.
