Glenwood Homestead is located on a historic sheep and cattle station, family owned and operated. Enjoy a relaxing country escape, with serene sunsets, starlit skies, and a large wraparound verandah where you can sit back, sip some wine, and admire the landscape experienced wildlife and farm animals, unpack a picnic in the garden, or venture out to the nearby wineries. Glenwood is 15 minutes from central Canberra, and perfect for couples' groups and solo adventurers or business travelers. The space This listing is for the family room has a queen bed in one bedroom and a king size bed in the second room that can be split into two single beds which has a bathroom in hallway for both rooms. Guest access Guests have a key to access there rooms which they will be shown on arrival. Kitchen is there for guests to use and also out door bbq as well as the yard. Guests are welcome to use our fully equipped kitchen, BBQ & all outdoor spaces at Glenwood. crockery & cutlery, utensils are available for guest to use. Other things to note there are many great options for breakfast, lunch & dinner and fun activities for the kids within a 5-to-10-minute drive from Glenwood. there are cafes & restaurants at Casey marketplace, Gold Creek shops as well as Hall. Our local favorites include the The Old Canberra Inn, Poacher's Pantry, The George Harcourt, Marble & Grain, Lazy Su & Eighty Twenty. There are several stunning wineries within 15 minutes of Glenwood in the Wallaroo & Murrumbateman areas (for example, Surveyour's Hill, Wallaroo Wines, Shaw Wines, Brindabella Hills & more). Many offer incredible food, scenic views, & a memorable day out. Glenwood is a short drive to all cultural icons of Canberra. We suggest you take time to visit Australian Parliament House, the National Gallery, & the Australian War Memorial while you are in the area.
