Country Farm Cottage

Relax in old world comfort and see the sights of the western side of the Scenic Rim. This original cottage, which will comfortably accommodate two couples or a small family, is on a working farm just 5 k's from Kalbar and 14 k's from Boonah. The space The house has two double bedrooms, bathroom with bath and washbasin, shower and toilet. These last two are down 4 steps from the kitchen, so the house is not suitable for people with physical disabilities which preclude them from negotiating the steps. The house also has a lounge room with aircon and tv (which only receives free to air channels), and a modern kitchen with dishwasher etc., as well as a fully equipped laundry. The lounge and bedrooms have ceiling fans. There is also outdoor furniture (table and six chairs). The carport will accommodate one car, and there is ample parking for other vehicles. Guest access The whole house is available to guests. Other things to note The house is old and has a few quirky features, which I also explain on arrival. However, it is very comfortable, and cereals, tea and coffee, milk, water, bread, butter and condiments are all provided. The kitchen is also fully equipped for cooking. As this is a working farm, and the cottage is situated next to a hayshed, guests are asked to be particularly careful with fire. An enclosed outdoor fireplace is provided, but this can only be used when conditions are optimal. This is not 5-star accommodation at two/three-star prices.
