Downtown Historic Attic Suite
Description
This upstairs suite is in an historic 1917 cottage, in downtown Anchorage, and is a rare find! Steps away from restaurants, bars, convention center, bus station, museum, bike trails, parks and pubs. It shares the building with a hair salon on the main level. With a private entrance, it is upstairs under the attic eaves, so the bathroom ceiling is slanted (FYI super tall people!) quality towels & linens, a full-sized pull out sofa bed in the living room, the queen bed is cool gel memory foam! The space Coffee pot, mini-fridge/freezer and microwave in apartment. No stove or kitchen. This is a great place for a couple, or two friends who don't mind using a sofa bed. It has its own designated parking space on the property! It's a smaller unit, but it’s comfy and feels like home (1 bedroom and a living room). There is a ROKU TV - you need your password to watch Netflix, etc. Private entrance in shared building. Guest access Only the upstairs apartment and the yard/property. Outside the guest suite door is a table and chairs on the lawn to enjoy the long Alaskan days. The yard is fully treed, rare for downtown, complete with lilacs, rose bushes, birch, chokecherry, mayday and wild flowers. It's a great spot for morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine! The coastal trail is two blocks away for a nice hike or walk. Other things to note The parking area in back is shared with a hair salon on the main floor of the building. It is all diagonal parking, and the guest suite has a designated parking spot, by itself between the house and garage. This takes away any worry of finding a parking space downtown! Accessed via the alley in back...Fridays and Saturdays may be a bit noisy due to downtown traffic and nightlife...its a downtown loft! Guests may also hear salon activity during the day.
