Welcome to Campos Tranquilos, a cozy 1-King bedroom, 1-bath cottage just outside Carbondale, IL. This peaceful country retreat on 14 acres is a safe, welcoming space for all. Located 5.3 miles from SIU and minutes from the Southern Illinois Wine Trail, with Giant City State Park nearby. Our goal is for our guests to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature, privacy, and comfort in a judgment-free getaway. The space One-King bedroom apartment with a small bath, comfortable living area with Queen sized Sleeper Sofa and full kitchen, located in a barn-style building. Enjoy the peace and privacy of a safe, beautiful property just minutes from town. Stroll around the two ponds, watch for deer, or spot wildlife right from the windows. Relax in the gazebo with a glass of wine or morning coffee while surrounded by flowers and bird feeders. Coyotes can often be heard at night, and red fox sightings are a special treat. Wi-Fi included. Plenty of parking for boats, trailers, or RVs. Guest access Guests have full access to the apartment, with its own private entrance. While the driveway is shared, your space is completely private. Guests are welcome to walk the property and enjoy fishing in our two ponds. We kindly ask that you respect the privacy of the main house, especially after dark. If bringing dogs, please keep an eye on them, as we have free-roaming pet ducks on the property. The remainder of the barn is used for private storage and is not accessible to guests. Other things to note Please make sure when reserving that you account for all guests and pets. Additional guests will be charged accordingly. Note: The bathroom is small with NO tub and is separate from the Bedroom. The Bedroom has a King Size Bed. Couch has a Pull Out Queen Size Bed. Everything is on one level.
