Tucked into the peaceful countryside just minutes from Hudson and Catskill main streets, Redd’s Retreat is a thoughtfully updated home that blends modern comfort with the natural beauty that surrounds it. Designed to feel like a true home away from home, this cozy escape offers warmth, functionality, and space to fully unwind. The main floor features three inviting bedrooms with soft linens, calming decor, and a restful atmosphere that makes it easy to recharge after a day exploring Hudson and Catskill, hiking nearby trails, or simply enjoying the quiet. Each space is designed for comfort, so you can settle in and feel at ease. At the heart of the home is a spacious open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area — perfect for gathering. The fully stocked kitchen includes high-quality tools and modern appliances, making it just as enjoyable to cook a farmers market feast as it is to share takeout from Warren Street around the table. Downstairs, the walk-out lower level offers even more room to relax. Stretch out for movie night in front of the 65-inch HDTV, or enjoy the extra space for conversation, games, or quiet time. A convenient mudroom entry makes it easy to stash gear and kick off boots after a day outdoors. Step outside and you’ll find why guests fall in love with Redd’s. Start your morning on one of two beautiful decks, or wander down to the private pond — home to bullfrogs, a barn owl, and abundant birdlife. Sink into the teak seating with a cup of coffee and listen to the sounds of nature. In the evening, fire up the grill for your market finds, then gather under the stars and fireflies to roast marshmallows around the firepit. From sunrise coffee to the last light of day, every detail of Redd’s Retreat is designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and make lasting memories. … No car? No problem! Amtrak is a 13 min drive from the house, though if you’re looking to take advantage of all the surrounding areas have to offer - including Warren Street, breweries, farms, trails, and dining - a car is recommended! … Other things to note: -Regular Maintenance: Essential services, such as lawn care, snow removal, and pest control, may occur during your stay (Monday - Friday). These vendors follow a regular schedule, though days and times can vary slightly. We kindly ask that you allow them to complete their work quickly so you can enjoy the rest of your day. -Damage: If something is damaged, please let us know right away. We value honesty and will work with you to find a fair resolution, whether the damage is minor or significant. -Wildlife: Our home is in a rural area, so you may encounter insects (bees, spiders, flies), small animals (squirrels, raccoons), and occasionally larger wildlife (deer, bears). Please be prepared for nature during your stay and remember they’re more afraid of you than you are of them. Do not leave trash or food out, especially overnight, as that attracts animals. -Power & Internet Outages: Outages can happen in this area due to weather or other factors. Because they are out of our control, we do not provide refunds for these interruptions, but we’ll do our best to help you work around them. Guest access The entire property is yours for the duration of your stay. Whether you spend your days exploring Hudson and Catskill, hiking the endless nearby trails, or enjoying the tranquility of Redd’s pond, easiness of rocking in a rocking chair, or making smores at the firepit, we know you will thoroughly enjoy the serenity of calling Redd’s your home away from home.
