Columbia Gorge Yurt

Scenic, quiet, restorative, sanctuary getaway. View of the milky way, views of two great mountains, close to many natural attractions in the Columbia Gorge. No internet and little cell service. Unplug and be with the stars! Sleeping for 3 or bring your own extra mats, then we can host up to 5. Outdoor shower, solar lights, wood stove. Our yurt is on our beautiful 20 acre property we bought 35 years ago with our best friends as neighbors. We're in the cabin nearby if you need anything at all. This special place is at risk for wildfire so we urge all guests to be very conscientious about not using flame of any kind, except the two camp stoves we provide. No campfires, no cigarettes, no candles, and no driving/parking in the tall grass. Help us protect this beautiful forest land. Guest access The yurt, the composting toilet and the outdoor shower are yours. The yurt is at the base of a hill. You're welcome to climb up for some stunning views. Other things to note This is a glamping experience, we have wonderful delicious water but it comes via the outdoor spigot. There is no electricity for appliances, only enough solar power for indoor lighting. We provide a very basic simple kitchen with two butane camp stoves, dishes, flatware, pots and pans. Bedding provided. The yurt can get quite warm on hot days but it cools down very nicely at night and there are plenty of swimming holes on the Columbia and Klickitat Rivers nearby.
