Lawrence's Tree Haus on the Llano River is perfect to walk down to the river to fish in the amazing fishing hole, go kayaking, canoeing, swimming, grill on the fire pit. It's a great way to spend some time off of work while enjoying the Llano River. Just a quick 10min drive to the famous Castell General Store for an amazing burger or something else delicious on their menu or one of there many festivals. Enjoy the chili cookoff, the testical festival, while having a cold beverage under the amazing trees. Coopers BBQ in Llano is just a short 10min drive from the house as well. Llano, Texas has many events throughout the year for you to enjoy. We also have a house right next door in fact it is the same address. It is called Lawrence Llano River House. Here is a little info on the Castell General Store! Built in 1927 by the local blacksmith, this general store in the blink-and-you'll-miss-it town of Castell is your the perfect pit stop on your kayaking trip down the Llano River. Rent your kayak here and then pick up some groceries, cold drinks, flyfishing or hunting supplies, or stop by on burger night every Friday and Saturday for some live music and shuffleboard. Don't miss annual events like the Gumbo Cookoff in December and the Testicle Festival in May, which are a testament to the freewheeling spirit of this quirky hidden gem.
