Description

Experience ultra-glamping at this brand new off-grid cabin, and pergola with an outdoor kitchen and sleeping loft. Relax, unplug, sit back and enjoy the view, the hawks circling above, a crackling fire, your favorite beverage and if you want, your two best friends to join you. It's up to you who gets the cabin, and who gets the sleeping loft - each have a comfy queen bed and both come with an amazing view. This is glamping, but in regal style, dog friendly and loaded with amenities. The space This is glamping. It's off-grid and that means there's no conventional utilities. However, everything has been done to make your glamping experience as comfortable as is possible. The amenities are many, a generator for electricity, wood stove for heat, coffee makers - drip and French Press, a gas hot plate, mini kitchen with plates, pots, pans, mugs, wine, bourbon and beer glasses, basic spices, utensils, and more. There's a TV, an emergency radio, battery lights and fan, games, plenty of kindling and firewood, a comfy queen bed and not just one, but two dog beds for your pups. There is also a propane heater as a backup for the wood stove and to keep the cabin warm between guests. Outside is a whole other structure. A pergola with a sleeping loft and outdoor kitchen. BBQ grill, sink, dual stovetop, a bar with 4 stools, an outdoor fireplace, comfy Adirondack chairs and what a view. Endless sky, mountains and farmland for miles. Note that the sleeping loft is not heated. It is closed off with plexiglass panels and a bifold hatchway for access during the winter months, but is not appropriate for comfortable sleeping unless you are prepared with an appropriate sleeping bag, etc. This is the place to unplug, recharge, sit back and relax - or hike the trails on our almost 200 acres, float or paddle the Battenkill, go fishing, antiquing, leaf peeping, exploring, or you name it. There's plenty to do and places to go. It may seem unusual, but the outhouse is fully equipped, and is even electrified. Lights, outlets, all the amenities from essentials to Q-tips, and in the back, two different camp shower systems with complete privacy. Shower System 1 - for warm weather - a gas fired system for hot water, fed from a rain barrel. This unit is removed once nighttime temps may drop below freezing. Shower System 2 - A rechargeable battery powered pump and shower head unit. You'll use provided jug water for this that you can heat with the provided wand heater, or water warmed on the stove tops. All in all, everything you need for the perfect glamping experience and all done for you. Bring a couple friends that will love sleeping up in the loft and gather round the fire for a weekend or more. Note: For winter stays and early Spring - 4WD or AWD is mandatory. It's a long gravel and dirt driveway to the cabin. It is plowed as needed but can still be slippery when wet, icy or snowy and the weather is unpredictable. Easily passable with AWD but not for 2 wheel drive cars that aren't good in the mud or snow. Thanks. Guest access Guest have use of the whole space, the cabin sleeps two, and there is a sleeping loft in the pergola with another queen bed and great views. Access is by lock-box so you can check yourself in at your leisure. Other things to note The property is just about 200 acres. Depending on the season, there is an off-grid cabin, and a glamping tent (May through October) on the property. You will pass by each of these on the way to the Mountain View Glamping Cabin. Each site has plenty of distance between them and afford plenty of privacy while also giving you options for friends or family to join your trip. This is a rural area with woods and farmland. It's common to see the local wildlife such as deer, hawks, owls, eagles, rabbits, and smaller critters sometimes too. We have traps always out for flies, bees, etc., but can't control nature completely being out in the woods. No smoking please of any kind inside any structure. Additional charges for deodorizing will apply. Thanks very much!
