The cabin is suitable for two adults (in the super king bed) and two children (in the sofa bed) we do not accept group bookings for more than two adults. Towels, all bed linen and adult robes are provided. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There is a dog bed and dog bowls for your convenience. The hot tub fire is built and ready for you to light, so you can enjoy it at your leisure. At one end of the cabin is a luxurious super king-size bed with premium 100% linen bedding. At the other end of the cabin, the cosy living area features two sofas and a comfy armchair, perfect for reading, relaxing, or simply watching the world go by through the large windows. The larger blue sofa converts into a double bed, offering a comfortable option for younger guests or additional sleepers. To turn the sofa into a bed, remove the cushions and unzip the cover you will then be able to pull the bed out. Additional bedding (flat sheet, duvet and pillows) is kept underneath the main bed. The separate bathroom features a hot shower, sink unit and an eco-friendly compost toilet. Please check the cabin 'Welcome Guide' for extra information. Outside, step onto your private, spacious decking area. There’s a wood-fired hot tub to soak in under the stars and outdoor seating for unwinding beside the stream. The cabin is surrounded by trees, birdsong, and the gentle sounds of the water. Your own little private haven in the woods. Guest access When you arrive, please park in the allocated parking space (with the yellow stone). Exit your vehicle and walk down the lane, with the polytunnel on your left. When you get to the wooden garage (with the white door), enter through the gate. From there, simply follow the wooden signs leading to the cabin, which is about 200 metres away. Please note that the paths are fairly steep and uneven in places, so sturdy footwear with good grip is essential. Unfortunately, due to the terrain Streamside Cabin is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or disabilities. We want all our guests to have a safe and comfortable stay. If you are arriving after dark please note there is no lighting on the pathways. Lanterns are provided, but own torches are advised! Other things to note Streamside Cabin is a peaceful retreat in the heart of the Forest of Dean. From time to time, deer, sheep, and wild boar visit the land. We kindly ask that you observe quietly from a distance and do not approach them. We absolutely love dogs (we have three of our own!), and they’re very welcome here. We kindly ask, however, that you do not allow your dog to cross the stream into the farmland opposite. Livestock graze there, and chasing can cause them serious stress. For everyone’s peace of mind, please supervise your dog closely, and if their recall isn’t reliable, keep them safely on a lead when outdoors. Tucked beside a gently flowing stream at the bottom of a secluded valley, Streamside Cabin is a cosy, one-of-a-kind hideaway where nature takes centre stage. Surrounded by ancient woodland and set on the land of a 400-year-old farmhouse with apple and pear orchards, the cabin offers a serene and private escape in one of the UK’s most enchanting forest regions. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the pace of life slow. The stream provides a gentle soundtrack, birds dart through the trees, and there’s every chance you’ll spot wildlife right from your doorstep. Fallow deer, wild boar, foxes, and even the flash of a kingfisher along the water. Whether you're curled up with a book, sipping coffee on the deck, or soaking in the hot tub beneath the stars, this is a place to breathe deeply and reconnect with the natural world. The Forest of Dean is a dream for walkers, cyclists, and anyone who loves the outdoors. Step straight from the cabin onto scenic footpaths that wind through the forest, or bring your bikes and explore the network of trails nearby; there’s something for all levels. Whether you’re after a gentle ramble or a full day’s hike, adventure begins at the door. You’re also perfectly placed for sightseeing. Visit the historic towns of Chepstow, Monmouth, and Ross-on-Wye. All within easy reach and full of charm, with riverside pubs, independent shops, and local markets. Enjoy a day out canoeing on the River Wye, wander through castle ruins, or simply soak in the atmosphere of the countryside. Inside the cabin, you'll find a warm and inviting space thoughtfully designed for comfort. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic weekend, a solo retreat, or a quiet base for forest adventures, Streamside Cabin offers everything you need for a restorative stay. There’s something magical about this place. The stillness of the trees, the sparkle of the stream, the feeling of being hidden away yet connected to the wild. It’s a place to slow down, switch off, and just be. We can't wait to welcome you here!
