The space IMPORTANT: "DAYTIME USE ONLY" Beach Hut – Daytime Use Only (9:00am–9:00pm) This beach hut is available for private daytime use only and is ideal as a base for enjoying the beach, relaxing, or storing personal items during the day. Please note: • Use is strictly limited to between 9:00am and 9:00pm • No overnight stays are permitted • Sleeping in the hut is strictly prohibited • This is not residential accommodation By booking, you agree to use the hut in accordance with these conditions. Please note that the hut is powered by a solar generator, and electricity is entirely weather-dependent. During periods of multiple cloudy days, the system may not generate enough power. We strongly recommend bringing fully charged power banks or alternative charging options if possible. There is no heating in the hut. Please wear warm clothes especially if you are visiting during the day in the winter months. In the summer, the temperature is usually very comfortable. The beach hut does not have a toilet, running water, or shower. However, you’ll have access to a nearby restroom block less than a 2-minute walk away, which includes access to a water tap outside the restroom, a toilet and sink (no shower). The hut is equipped with a portable gas stove, kettle, a portable DVD player with a selection of DVDs (you’re welcome to bring your own), a solar generator for charging phones and small devices, and two foldable chairs. Just a short walk from the hut, you’ll find a charming French-inspired coffee van (less than 2 minutes away), serving hot and cold drinks and tasty snacks availability may vary depending on the time of day. A 5-minute stroll brings you to The Captain’s Table, a fantastic local restaurant offering delicious hot and cold meals served by the sea. For relaxation, there’s a wood-fired sauna just 5 minutes up the beach, which can be prebooked online an ideal way to unwind after a beach walk or sea dip. If you're interested in local history, feel free to check out one or both of the nearby museums: the Findhorn Heritage Centre and the Findhorn Heritage Ice House, just a 6-minute walk from the hut. Please check their opening times before visiting. Guest access We will send the key code the day before your check in. Other things to note The hut is run as a "bothy" meaning guests are expected to leave it as they found it. This helps us keep the daily cost as affordable as possible. An inventory checklist is monitored several times a week. However, if you notice anything missing or out of place, please message us as soon as possible. Safety Notice – Cooking & Fire Use: If you use the portable gas stove, please do not use it inside the hut. For safety reasons, take it outside onto the beach and position it well away from any huts. You're also welcome to have a BBQ on the beach, again away from all huts to reduce fire risk. Parking: Free parking is available throughout Findhorn village, but we recommend using the beach car park for convenience it's only £1 per day.
