Luxury cottage, newly restored in peaceful setting

Luxurious interiors designed with keen attention to detail ensures a relaxing stay. Our cottage features a fully fitted kitchen & double bedroom situated at the top of a bespoke spiral stairs. The comfy sitting room features a sofa bed & log burner. Located in the heart of Norfolk on the grounds of a listed Manor House, it is ideal for a charming getaway surrounded by nature or a quiet, comfortable place to rest whilst working nearby. It is loved by families, retirees & remote workers alike. The space This wonderful characterful cottage lies to the right of the main house Rokeles Hall, it originates from the 1800's (Victorian era) and once upon a time housed some of the workers that were affiliated to the hall. Our sensitive restoration project began in 2024 with a lot of time and care taken to ensure the unique quirky characteristics of this Victorian cottage were still retained such as the gentle undulation of the orignal roof, the quirky chimneys and decorative dormers with bargeboards and finials. Guests will enter the cottage through the large coach house doors (a sensitive recreation of the ones that where here previously). You will arrive into the open plan sitting room & kitchen with a dining areas, lounge area (with toilet to the side). The kitchen floor features traditional Norfolk pamments which have been lovingly scoured from across the county. Here amongst the fully fitted units you will find a slimline dishwasher, washing machine, oven & hob and fridge with small freezer plus ample storage for any groceries you'd like to bring. Returning to the sitting room you will see a large reclaimed farmhouse table which will easily seat 6 people. There is also a new sofa which can turn into a double sofa bed, nothing more cosy than going to sleep with the embers in the log burner softly glowing in the distance! To the left of the lounge area there is a traditional lime plaster wall that features a bespoke handmade spiral staircase which leads up to the bedroom. The bedroom has been designed to feel like a cosy retreat, it features a kingsize bed with plenty of space and even a reading nook in the window...no better place to be than to while away the morning listening to the birdsong with a cup of tea! To the right of the bed is the door to the bathroom which features all new but traditional bathroom furniture. A rainmaker shower and a deep bath and heated victorian style towel rail will ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay for all. Please note that the grass in front of the cottage has just been laid so it cannot be walked on until the 1st April.
