Cabin stay and farm with spectacular view of Baw Baw Ranges. Near and Far Nature Stay presents the Highland Cabin, a purpose-built cabin, nestled within private bushland, offering the perfect setting to unwind and reconnect with nature. The cabin is 20 minutes from Neerim South. The Neerim district is the gateway to the Baw Baw National Park, amid working dairy farms and other (agri)cultural activities such as farmers markets, galleries, restaurants and wineries. The space It has a private entrance, bathroom, and kitchenette. The cabin is equipped with a king-size bed, dining area, and TV. The room has a large window with a stunning view of the mountains and surrounding cool temperate forest. Guest access The Highland cabin is an extension of the owner’s residence and is one of two self-contained cabins, set amid the orchard, vegetable garden and chicken enclosure. There is designated car parking, and you access your cabin via a shared concrete pathway. Other things to note Once you’ve settled in, take the opportunity to explore our forest-edge farm. Discover a delightful mix of Scottish Highland cows, Suffolk sheep, Australorp chickens, and a lively Border collie pup. Activities include walking the internal forest paths. Initially accompanied by your hosts, explore meandering forest paths lined with tall eucalypts and feathery tree ferns. Along the forest paths meet the locals: lyrebirds, swamp wallabies, wombats, echidnas, lace monitors and burrowing crayfish.
