La Casita de Campo Tango: farm + tango.

Campo Tango. Where tango meets regenerative farming. Relax in nature, swim in a natural (plant filtered) pool, dance with a world class tango teacher (optional), and rest in our sweet casita. Take a walk in our native forest. Play the guitar. Grill your dinner outside. This is an active farm:: using regenerative practices with our sheep and chickens, along with an organic garden for our gourmet meals. Food + wine available. Cash only please. The space The landscape is meadow and field surrounded by native forest and the Riachuelo river. Walk in the forest, or hang out in the hammock. Plus there are many fun things to do in this area.... You are invited to swim in our natural pool…we do not use chlorine, only plants filtering the water. It is truly a divine experience. We have two rescue dogs; Lucy and Paquita. They are both friendly and may be around the casita…we also have 4 cats (2 are rescues). They roam around the campo as well. (Please do not let the animals in the casita.) Raul is a professional tango dancer and teacher; he worked in what was the best school for tango in the world for more than 12 years; the DNI tango school in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has travelled around the world teaching and performing. If you have never taken a tango class, he's a wonderful teacher to introduce you to the world of Tango. And if you are already dancing tango; he is an expert to help you up level your skills. Guest access Campo Tango consists of 27 acres (11 hectares), mostly meadow with native forest and the Riachuelo river on two sides. We invite you to explore. Please bring strong footwear or boots for walking around as many of the native trees have spines. You are welcome to swim in our bio-piscine (a natural, plant filtered pool—no chlorine) If you wish to cook in the fully equipped kitchen - if you need something not in the house let us know. We can share from our organic garden, just ask us for a tour and you will see what is in season; we simply ask for a donation to help support our work here. We can also provide local wines and gourmet meals at an additional price. For example: I just made lamb ravioli.....! Inquire for details and pricing. And if you are interested in taking tango lessons, let us know!! Other things to note We do not have WIFI, it is not available in our zone. If you do not have a Uruguayan chip with data, we can provide you with one for an additional $550 pesos so you can stay connected. **We have a dry toilet to conserve water. We do not use any chemicals; and request you to use our lovely natural products which we provide for free. Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Deodorant, Toothpaste, and bug spray. No sunscreen or chemical mosquito spray allowed. By booking your stay you agree to not use chemicals on our property. Thank you so much!!
