Cozy cottage in the French Ardennes in a dead-end street. Ideal for walking, mountain biking, relaxing and enjoying together. 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds each, 2 bathrooms. The attic is a cozy space with 2 single beds with a sliding door, TV and armchair. Living room with open kitchen, stove and small salon space. On one of the two terraces you will find sun at any time of the day. Large garden with adjoining play forest, trees and views of the meadow. Quiet, wooded area. In the wild garden, you will find many trees and open grass spots where you can play, rest, read, etc. The high swing in the old cherry tree and the trapeze and the swing rope in the large walnut tree provide fun in the garden. Adjacent is a large play forest in which camps can be built to your heart's content. The many fruit trees provide natural shade. At the house there are two terraces, on one there is the morning sun and on the other the afternoon and evening sun. With the fire bowl on the terrace, a cozy evening is guaranteed. If you prefer to sit deeper in the garden by a fire, you can do this at the back in the fire pit, close to the meadow. The cottage is on a slight slope. There are 2 floors and an attic floor. The upper floor consists of a bright living room with open kitchen, stove and salon. Furthermore, there is one bedroom with a double bed of 180x200 cm overlooking the garden and meadow. Next to the bedroom there is a bathroom with double sink and shower, and a separate toilet. The lower floor has one bedroom with a double bed of 180x200 cm. Also here is an adjacent bathroom with spacious sink and shower, and a separate toilet. On this floor is also the entrance with stairwell and the room with cloakroom and storage. Extra garden furniture and outdoor toys such as volleyball net, number cube, balls, badminton, baseball... can also be found here. The attic is furnished as a sleeping and relaxation area. There are 2 single beds, each with a sliding door. Here, all beds are 90x200 cm. It is a cozy space where children/teenagers can play, watch TV, chill, etc. The area is ideal for nature lovers: hiking, mountain biking, cycling, swimming, bird and wildlife spotting, etc. But it is also the perfect place to relax and enjoy together. In the cottage there is a folder with a lot of mapped walks, and a comprehensive overview of activities and villages/towns that are worth visiting. Some examples: -> Swimming and water sports on one of the many lakes and ponds that the French Ardennes is rich in -> Stroll through the typical French flea markets -> A city trip to Charleville-Mézières, Reims, Sedan, Rocroi, ... -> A visit to the Champagne region -> The many picturesque villages to discover -> The perfect meander of the Meuse in Monthermé, which can be admired from various viewpoints -> Adventurous activities such as climbing course, rock climbing, karting, horseback riding, etc. -> Take a boat trip, fishing, golf, etc. In short, there is something for everyone! Guest access Our cottage in the greenery, including the large garden and the play forest, is fully at your disposal. Other things to note Bed linen and towels are NOT included, you must bring your own bedding (fitted sheet, pillowcase, duvet cover). The mattresses are protected with a waterproof mattress protector, and pillows and down blankets are available. There are ample parking spaces at the level of both floors. The cleaning fee (€50) and pet fee (€20) are automatically deducted per stay from the total price you will see.
