Enjoy peaceful nights under a clear starry sky and a vibrant, wild garden with fruit trees. There are two terraces: enjoy breakfast in the sun or unwind in the evening by the fire pit. Inside, a bright living area with a wood-burning stove awaits, along with an attractive conservatory featuring a lounge area and dining table, offering a beautiful view of the garden and the surrounding countryside. The perfect place for families and nature lovers. The space Tucked away among the greenery, surrounded by woods and meadows, lies this charming holiday home, where peace, nature and cosiness come together. Here, you can enjoy quiet, dark nights with an impressive starry sky and wake up to the sound of birds. The wild garden is a place to explore and relax: with fruit trees, open lawns and natural shady spots. Children (and adults) can have a great time on the high swing in the old cherry tree, the trapeze and the swing rope in the impressive walnut tree, or building forts in the adjacent play forest. Around the house, you will find two patios, so you can enjoy the sun at any time of the day: have breakfast in the morning sun and end the day by the fire pit in the warm evening light. Prefer even more nature? At the back of the garden, close to the meadow, a cosy fire pit awaits for long, atmospheric evenings. The cottage stands on a gentle slope and has two floors plus a cosy attic level. Upstairs, you will find a bright living area with an open-plan kitchen, a wood-burning stove and a seating area. Adjoining this is the charming conservatory: furnished with a lounge area and a large dining table, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the garden and the surrounding greenery all year round. Also on this floor are a bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200 cm – 2 x 90 cm wide) and a view of the countryside, a bathroom with a double washbasin and shower, and a separate WC. On the ground floor, there is another spacious bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200 cm – 2 x 90 cm wide), again with an en-suite bathroom and a separate WC. This area also houses the entrance hall, cloakroom and additional storage space, which contains garden furniture and outdoor play equipment such as a volleyball net, Kubb, badminton gear and more. The attic is furnished as a cosy sleeping and relaxation area with four single beds (90 x 200 cm, including pull-out beds). An ideal place for children and teenagers to play, watch TV or just chill out. The area is a paradise for nature lovers and bon vivants. You can spend endless hours walking, cycling or mountain biking, swimming in crystal-clear lakes, or spotting birds and wildlife. At the same time, it is the perfect place to slow down and enjoy time together. In the cottage, you will find a comprehensive folder with mapped-out walks and plenty of tips for outings. Discover charming towns such as Charleville-Mézières, Reims, Sedan and Rocroi, browse through authentic French flea markets, or explore the Champagne region. Admire the impressive Maasmeander at Monthermé, or opt for adventure with a climbing course, rock climbing, horse riding or water sports. Fishing, golfing or a leisurely boat trip are also options. In short: a place where nature, comfort and experience come together – for young and old, for those seeking peace and quiet and for adventurers. Guest access Our cottage in the greenery, including the large garden and the play forest, is fully at your disposal. Other things to note We currently do NOT provide bed linen or bath towels, so guests should bring their own: fitted sheet, pillowcase, duvet cover and towels. All beds are 90 x 200 cm; the double beds have 2 separate single mattresses. The mattresses are protected by a waterproof mattress protector, and pillows and duvets are provided. There are ample parking spaces at the level of both floors. The cleaning fee (€55) and the pet surcharge (€25) are automatically included in the total price you see for each stay. The cottage is Wi-Fi-free. However, 4G and 5G reception is very poor. A Chromecast is connected to the TV screen in the attic, which you can use to conveniently cast your favourite programmes, films and series. Pets are more than welcome in the cottage. However, the large garden is deliberately not fenced, so that we can preserve the natural character of the area.
