The space Our cottage is perfect for couples, friends, or small families looking for a peaceful place to unwind after a day of exploring. Whether you're starting your morning with coffee on the screened-in porch or ending it around the firepit under the stars, this is a place to slow down, recharge, and soak in the best of Michigan’s magic. ✨ 🏡 Inside the Cottage: - 2 bedrooms (1 king + 1 queen bed) - Fully renovated and stocked kitchen with double oven, gas stove, and dishwasher - Coffee corner (Keurig, drip coffee, french press) - Dining table for 4 - Full bathroom with tub/shower - Laundry: washer/dryer combo - 2 comfy living room spaces - one with a wood burning stove, and other with Roku TV - A variety of books and games for all ages - Kids: Pack 'n play with sheets and baby bath are available upon request 🌳 Outdoor Highlights: - Peaceful green yard surrounded by tall trees - Screened-in porch with twinkle lights, comfy seating & dining area (available spring-fall) - Deck with Blackstone griddle - Firepit with adirondack chairs for evening s’mores and stargazing - Large grassy yard with hammock - Fenced in area with gate for dogs 📍 Nearby attractions: • Modales Winery, Fenn Valley Winery, Virtue Cider, Waypost Brewing, and Crane's Pie Pantry (5-7 min drive) • Beaches: West Side County Park, Pier Cove Park, Douglas Beach Park, Oval Beach, Saugatuck Dunes (8-17 min drives) • Hiking: Saugatuck Dunes State Park (17 min) and Wau-Ke-Na, W. E. Smith Preserve (6 min) • Towns: Saugatuck & Douglas for art galleries, shops, and local dining (10-13 min drive). Further towns include South Haven (13 min) and Holland (25 min). 🏡 The space is best suited for 4 people to keep things comfortable. However, if you have additional small children, no problem! Just please reach out with any extenuating circumstances or requests and we're happy to accommodate when possible. We look forward to hosting you and hope you feel right at home during your stay! 🌲🌊✨ Guest access Guests have access to the whole property except the locked garage and a locked utility closet in the bathroom. Other things to note 🐾 Pet Policy: • We welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs with prior approval • A $100 pet fee allows us to keep the cottage in pristine condition for everyone's enjoyment • After approval, dogs must be included as pet guests when you book • Your pup MUST be in a crate if left unattended • Please see house rules for further expectations for our furry friends 🔥🧊 Heating & A/C: • Our cottage was built in the 1970s and still boasts electric baseboard heaters. We have updated each room with a digital thermostat so you can easily adjust temperatures to your liking. Our wood-burning stove can heat the space fabulously in the colder months. • The home is shaded by tall trees and stays fairly cool inside during summer days, however, we have two window A/C units (one in each bedroom) and ceiling fans (each bedroom and in the main living space) to keep you comfortable during warmer days. 💧 Water: • This home runs on a well and septic system, common in this area. Please flush only toilet paper - no wipes, paper towels, etc. • A reverse osmosis water filter at the kitchen sink provides clean, fresh drinking water. • Our water softener is maintained regularly to help minimize any mineral buildup or sulfur smells, though you may experience occasional traces 🍃 🐛 Nature & the Great Outdoors: • One of the joys of this peaceful, wooded setting is the wildlife - birds, deer, squirrels... and occasionally a bug or two that may wander inside. We do our best to keep the cottage sealed and professionally treated, but a few critters are part of the experience in this natural setting.
