Charming downtown cottage with big backyard and unique style The space Welcome to The Westwood Cottage, located right in the heart of downtown Wake Forest, NC. This charming getaway is perfect for couples, small families, or friends—comfortably sleeping 3 guests plus a pack ’n play for little ones. With its mid-century inspired décor, thoughtful details, and a spacious backyard oasis, it’s the ideal spot to relax while staying close to everything Wake Forest has to offer. Inside the Cottage: Step through the door and you’ll be greeted by a blend of mid-century-eclectic style and modern comfort. The bedroom features a Queen size poster bed, a super comfy Nectar mattress, and organic cotton sheets for a restful night’s sleep. Our guests also have access to a travel crib with mattress protector and sheets, located in the bedroom closet. The living area offers a deep velvet sofa- perfect for relaxing, reading, or watching tv. The flex space boasts a hand-built Murphy bed with a memory foam mattress, and a cozy little window bench- great for extra guests to tuck away in their own little space. A large, fully stocked kitchen gives you everything you need to whip up dinner—from chef knives to staple spices and seasonings. A coffee bar with ground Black&White coffee, K-cups, tea, etc. The bathroom features a full tub/shower combo. You’ll have a full supply of Native bath products, hair dryer, and luxurious cotton towels. Oh, and if you forgot a toothbrush— we’ve got you covered! You’ll also have access to on-site laundry, with detergent and dryer sheets, making longer stays easy and convenient. Outdoor Living: One of the highlights of the property is the large, private backyard. Fire up the grill for an evening cookout, gather around the firepit to roast marshmallows under the stars, or simply relax in the peaceful outdoor space. It’s the perfect extension of your living area and a great spot to unwind after a day exploring town. (You’ll find a bucket of firewood under the blackstone grill. Fire starters and lighter are left of the sink, inside.) Location & Accessibility: Our cottage is tucked in a quiet spot but just minutes from Wake Forest’s vibrant restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. You’ll also find yourself somewhat walkable to Southeastern Seminary and Joyner Park—though do note there isn’t a sidewalk directly in front of the house. For day trips, downtown Raleigh is only about 30 minutes away, giving you easy access to even more dining, shopping, and entertainment. The Murphy bed is in the living space, but it’s still tucked away behind a half wall, so there’s a little more privacy.
