The Piggery

This is a charming, rustic, off-grid converted stone piggery. The piggery is located on a beautiful small farm just 9 minutes drive from Royal Hillsborough and 24 minutes from Belfast but it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. Nature lovers and outdoorsy folks who are looking to get away from it all will love it. Sustainability and nature are key themes here where furniture and building materials have been carefully sourced to create an authentic experience. The space Guests will sleep in a comfy king-size bed in the beautiful stone building which has a little wood burning stove for extra coziness. The piggery has its own private shower room, kitchen, outdoor seating area, and orchard! (which has a fire pit area and hammock). The shower room and the kitchen are accessed by separate doors which means you have to go outside of the main building to get into them. Guest access The piggery building itself along with the seating area, shower room, kitchen and orchard are for the sole use of the guests. Guests are welcome to explore other areas of the farm including the woodlands, fields, gardens, polytunnel, and of course chat to our friendly chickens! Other things to note -Although the bathroom is adjoining, guests must go outside to access it. The kitchen is also in a separate building next to the main piggery. -Breakfast is not included but guests can request a breakfast basket containing eggs from the farm, locally produced jam and bread, porridge oats, milk and butter for an extra £15 (for two people). This should be ordered in advance of your stay. -As a result of the age of the building, the doorway into the piggery is low so most people will have to duck their heads to access it but the ceiling is high once you get in.
