Description

The Triangle House is a perfect blend of mid-century A-frame charm and modern comfort. Tucked away in the woods of the Catskills, it offers a peaceful retreat just a little over 2 hours from the city. The cabin features soaring ceilings, expansive windows that bring the outdoors in, and custom-made design elements that create a cozy, refined atmosphere. We’ve thoughtfully curated every detail, from British-made furnishings to a fully stocked kitchen, ensuring a seamless and comfortable stay. The space Originally built in the 1970s as a summer retreat, the A-frame has been lovingly renovated to provide comfort all year round while preserving its original charm. The cabin features a warm and inviting layout with one true bedroom and a loft with a sofa bed. To access the bedroom, you’ll pass through the loft, making the space ideal for couples or small groups of up to three guests. LIVING ROOM Located downstairs, the living room invites you to sit back and enjoy the ever-changing beauty of the seasons through a wall of windows. During the colder months, you’re welcome to use the wood-burning stove for extra warmth and cozy ambiance. Please note that it can heat the upstairs area quite significantly. Firewood is available in the woodshed outside or can be purchased at Emmanuel’s Grocery Store in Stone Ridge, as well as local gas stations. UTILITIES & AMENITIES The cabin is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Enjoy the convenience of a dishwasher, a compact fridge and freezer, an oven with stovetop, TV and a washer and dryer. BATHROOM Unwind in the deep soaking tub or refresh under the overhead shower, complete with luxurious Verden products. For added comfort, the heated towel rail keeps your towels warm and cozy during the winter months. Please note the bathroom is located downstairs. Guest access NEIGHBORHOOD The cabin is located in one of the Hudson Valley’s most desirable areas. Just 10 minutes from the trailhead for Vernooy Falls and 15 minutes from Minnewaska State Park, where you can spend your days swimming in the crystal-clear lake during the summer or cross-country skiing in the winter. You’re also only 15 minutes from popular spots like Rough Cut Brewing, Inness, and Westwind Orchard. For day trips, the cabin is just 40 minutes from Woodstock or Kingston, 40 minutes from New Paltz, and about an hour from Hudson. Whether you’re here for hiking, swimming, breweries, or antique shopping, the Triangle House puts you right in the heart of it all. ACCESS The cabin is tucked away on a private lane shared with a few neighbors, offering peace and privacy. As we are located at the very top of the lane, we kindly ask that you drive slowly, no more than 10 MPH out of respect for those who live along the way. SNOW In the winter months, the lane and driveway are plowed once snowfall reaches four inches. We do our best to clear a path to the cabin before your arrival so you can settle in with ease. For your convenience, a shovel is also provided should you need to clear any additional snow or ice during your stay. Other things to note ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Outdoor camping (including tents, yurts, or similar setups) is not permitted. Private parking is available at the front of the property for your convenience. Please remain within the property boundaries and avoid entering neighboring land, as this may be considered trespassing. CHILDREN & BABIES A travel cot or bassinet and highchair are available upon request to help accommodate our youngest guests. Please note that the cabin does not have baby gates, and the stairs are open in design. While children are welcome, the home may not be ideally suited for very young kids or toddlers-extra supervision is recommended to ensure everyone's safety. FLY FISHING The Catskills is home to some of the best rivers and streams for fly fishing, so to make your experience even better, we provide a Nation FC 9' 5WT fly rod along with essential tools at the cabin. We kindly ask that you handle them with care and return everything after your stay so future guests can enjoy them as well. A list of local rivers and fishing spots can be found in our Upstate Guide at the cabin. IMPORTANT NOTE If you are interested in using the cabin for sponsored content, photography, or production, please contact us directly to discuss pricing. The cabin may not be used for commercial purposes without prior permission.
